I lived on this facility, (Maples), from 1965 to 1971, ages 4 to 10. My dad was the OT director. As kid my bothers and i played over. Even watched dad at bowling alley. I recently drove by there, as i have lived out of state for 40 years, seems peaceful and at rest, now. For some reason this place had a impact on my family.

Thank you for this presentation. I had originally learned about this place through the historical fictional book "What she left behind." That led me down a rabbit hole of all this information on the Willard Asylum. When my friends and I visited the Finger Lakes last month, we drove around the grounds and visited the cemetery. Very interesting history!
