He also eats a restricted calorie diet without many processed foods. I fully believe, based on current peer reviewed nutritional data, processed foods are far worse for the body and mind than marijuana.

@@coltonbrassie3565 How did you arrive at that from this interview? He likes waffles, toast eats an egg or two and drinks meal replacement shakes which are processed based nutrition. He didn't say cage free organic eggs or some sort of whole grain thing for his bread and pretty sure he likes syrup on those waffles. lol Just shows how folks can read what they believe into anything. SMH. lol As far as calories those shakes have up to 1500 per and if he drinks several a day? Well.... you can do math right?

I'm 75, and my Doc just told me to severely cut down on my drinking....which was never more than 2 or 3 shots of whiskey a day. (Messes with ones blood-sugar balance) He did NOT, however, mention that I should cut down on my daily weed usage.....

Similar. I'm 59 and I have have told many doctors that I drink a 6-pack or 3 a week, 3-4 cups of coffee a day, and smoke weed, all day, every day. They always want to talk about my coffee habit, and never have cared about the weed.

Willie gives great advice here; especially concerning alcohol vs cannabis use. I can certainly relate. I’m 75 now and for sure I’d be dead if I hadn’t given up alcohol use. Still puffing and enjoying a peaceful life. Keeping the weight off is also crucial to continued good health.

I've always felt a connection to Willie in the sense that I was a very very heavy drinker at one point and then i tried marijuana and it changed me for the better. I became a better person and realized the drinking needed to stop and it did. I have no doubt I'd be dead by now if I hadn't stopped back then. So glad Willie is still with us!

Willie answered a few times "what's his secret" She was looking for a different magical answer... He keeps the truth close to him. Which means he is present and content with who he sees in the mirror (today). Not what everyone else sees. He is on his own flow. Be a good spirit. Be honest & manifest what you want in your life. It’s also clearly his restrictive calorie diet. Look at Dr. NAKAMATS. He eats 700 calories a day, photographs every meal, has thousands of patents (some are just whacky) and has done the most extensive research on nutrition possible. He’s 92 and still joking.

I remember an interview a few years ago where Willie was asked about his diet. He said that he eats oatmeal every morning. Then after a pause followed up saying he also has bacon and eggs almost every night.

What I noticed is that many people who lived to a very old age have set eating habits. One of my great-grandfathers, for example, who lived to age 100, would eat 2 eggs for breakfast, plus some oatmeal with a sliced banana, and a sandwich for supper. He also ate a bar of chocolate each day. The only meal that wasn't the same every day was lunch, but even then he stuck to the foods he liked and was used to.

bout 41 years ago I got woken up with the cops knocking on the window of my car... I gave them all the right answers, apparently... because I couldn't remember how I got there... some of the people Mr Nelson is talking about could have been a school bus full of kids... and I never would have known.. I crawled into my first... honest... AA meeting a few days later.. I told myself... if Willie Nelson can do it with all of his money...surely I can... without any money at all... like falling off a log y'all.. ok so far..
