Another way is to let one willow grow and use the branches it grows from and just point them into the dirt. They will grow roots at the end even when they're still connected to the main tree. You can continuously do this with one tree as the branches grow from the leading branch which point you bury. It truly becomes a one tree fence with multiple points of which its roots spread.
Thanks for the update, it looks amazing! I had found your videos when I was doing research on willows for a plant profile in my university course. Something tore apart one of our willows, so I decided to cut the severed pieces and plant them. Wish me luck! :)
Living willow structures dont bend the tops all the way to the ground instead make to willow shoots meet atthe top half of the fold. Then they wont die 🎉
