What is the big deal with an accent? It's a song , a form of art , we create art because it doesn't have to be a 100% reflection of reality. Actors in movies don't always talk in their own accents- cos it's a movie- make believe, play, art. Maybe this song was about a british teen meeting an american on a holiday...or something. But even if there wasn't a'plot' , no big deal.

There seems to be a twinkle of profound wisdom and experience in her eyes that defies her age, she feels like an old soul to me.
