Wills for Healthcare Heroes 

Wills for Healthcare Heroes is an initiative of Virginia's Wills for Heroes Program. Volunteer attorneys prepare basic estate planning documents, consisting of a Will, Power of Attorney, and Advance Medical Directive, free of charge, for active healthcare workers on the front line of the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a way for the legal community to show support of and appreciation to healthcare workers for their service and sacrifices during this unprecedented time.
If you are a healthcare worker interested in participating, you must first watch this mandatory Informational Video, which describes the program and its parameters, as well as the documents and choices available. After watching the video, you must submit this Participant Form, which includes an engagement agreement and an estate planning questionnaire. You will be contacted by a volunteer attorney thereafter on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you are an attorney, licensed and in good standing in Virginia, and have either attended the Wills for Heroes CLE in the past 24 months or at least one-third of your practice involves estate planning, and you wish to volunteer for this initiative, please submit this Volunteer Interest Form and the Wills for Heroes co-chairs will be in contact with you with further instructions.
This clinic is being offered virtually only for the safety of volunteers and clients, and runs through June 10th, 2020.
