This presentation is superior to every recent speaker you've had in the lab including the Magicos and Focals. These speakers do it all from the warmth of midrange to detail and imaging, Most of all these speakers are engaging, they make it easy to turn off the brain and just get lost in the music.

I agree ,,,,,,, these seem to be at a whole different level then the other speakers he has presented - its been my experience going back maybe 20 years that the smaller Wilson speakers are the sweet spot in the Wilson line up.

I’m blown away too. lol. Fantastic system. Nice thing also about the DAW is that they don’t require such extreme equipment. DCS Bartok, Audio Research Ref 6se and Pass Labs mono blocs 260.8 sound gorgeous too with them.

Love it. Superb midrange and transparency with no hardness. Smooth and defined. Perfect tonal balance. Better than any other speaker in your system till date. Period. And guess what... I am not even a Wilson owner not have been one till date. After this demo, that's what I will be aiming for. Thanks.

Sounds great Jay. Your videos with the Magico A5s and the DAWs really show how much more important the electronics are than the speakers. If you don't have top notch electronics, it doesn't make sense to spend the money on a six figure speaker. Speakers can only amplify the source material. It's only when you have top notch electronics (power and pre and source material) that a speaker costing high 5 figures or 6 figures will allow you to hear the advantages of such speakers. Your electronics deserve Alexx Vs!

Here comes the Wilson lover's express! Comments are going to be gushing over these. I don't know what it is about Wilson owners, but they have to be the most passionate in this hobby. The best sound I've heard from the lab came from the Magico S7s. I am not a Wilson fan and I do not own Magico. My only lengthy in person demo was with the A5s, which were too forward for me. I did spend 15 minutes with the S3s on a one million dollar system (huge room) and my jaw is still on that floor. I think Wilsons do lows well and provide fine detail, but I've yet to be engaged by them and even with these videos I'm hearing the same sibilance I hear every time I'm over my friend's. He owns the Sasha DAWs and is still trying to achieve what he heard at the dealership two years ago. They do draw me in with lows but I continually find them fatiguing. I would love to love them, but alas, I've yet to probably hear them in a well matched system. This sport is all about personal preference and I am happy for the Wilson owners who are happy. It doesn't matter what you own as long as it continues to raise the hairs on your arms today and years from today. That's the goal!

I have Sasha’s and I agree. Can be fatiguing but they do wonderful things. I’ve spent so much time and effort trying to tame them. Current solution is to apply a DSP that slightly rolls of the highs.

You can see the cone breakup of the midrange in the stereophile measurements (off axis peaks). I am sure that is where the sibilance comes from. Not near as bad as say B&W but the drivers could use some love at these prices. Could just need a better tweeter with a lower crossover too. Anyway they sound good in this demo to me.

In the comparison video with the focals they sounded bad. Not sure why that was but they sound much better now. I guess the Sasha is picky when it comes to amplification. The bolder is a better fit.

I have those speakers with the Devialet pro 440 Ci and i just love the sound. The speakers are not to big but big sound they have and the Devialet sound superb. In the past i had the Krell mono 450 and I can’t get back to those big, heavy, energy consumers. I use the speaker cables Nordost Tyr2

If everything else is the same these sound much better than the "new" speakers, they seemed distant and funny echo. I notice some comments refer to the magico, better bass and such or these being "flat" sounding. What I find more important than slight diff in bass, treble, mids, or all that is does the speaker disappear into the music. I've heard good sounding speakers but when you sit back and listen the sound comes from the speaker, not thru and around them. And I don't know why people comment on image or soundstage cause that's limited to the system you listen to the video on. My speakers are of similar design to the Wilson's, Same guy's collaborated back in the 80's. Mine have L-pads on the mid & tweeter and I find myself keeping them quite low. Did you reveal what the "new" ones were? I know I asked about what's in the back corners cause I thought I saw wires, but I'm assuming they're just room treatment. There's all kinds of crazy designs but would think back corners would not be good.

Wilson’s Sasha DAW are sized right and has the right presence for most rooms. I like the Alex series but they’re just too big and destroys the look of a room. The Sasha is beautiful in any room plus they sound amazed.

It'll be nice if we have a consistent playlist from one setup to another for comparisons . Curious how these compared to the Magico A5s. I felt these sound a bit flatter than the A5, clean but a bit flat. Maybe it's the tracks.

Nice 3D soundstage with great midrange, as far as I can hear from RU-vid's somewhat compressioned sound. What's not to like. I'm on a different path with my pure analogue tube system (well there are REL class D subs for support in the bass region). Wondering, what difference a soviet reflector 6C4P-EV rectifier tube from the eighties will make in my tube MM phono stage in comparison to the shuguang 6Z4 rectifier tube. Already getting glorious sound with these, but who knows. The rectifier tube sits in the signal path overall. You have to check for yourself with your own ears. Nevertheless I do find this channel very entertaining.

its been my experience that east European tubes from the 80s are much better than Chinese - there is a guy with a web site called tube monger who i have no business connection with who is real smart on this subject

I can't tell anything from a RU-vid video, but I actually prefer the Sasha DAW to the larger, more expensive Wilson speakers. I haven't heard the Chronos though. Having said that, the best I've ever heard out of a system was the DAWs with ARC Ref 80s amps. Not two components that I would necessarily gravitate toward on paper. They sounded incredible together.
