Rachel moving when she's supposed to be dead and Napoleon Dynamite saying "Paul poor and Judy" instead of "poor Paul and Judy" is what makes this sketch iconic
You can hold the service and the wake at your house in most states. At that point, it's property and it belongs to next of kin. You don't need to embalm, either. Ask a Mortician
It's just that in SNL they are doing it too frequently. the whole point of breaking character is that the sketch is hilarious and they can't hold their laughter. Now, it seems just like bad acting and unprofessional.
She's a force! I recently watched an old Weekend Update where she did this LONG, comedic song, involving lots of bouncing all over the set, and she was like 9 months and 10 days pregnant. I don't know how she could even see the floor. And then this tonight ... a femme fatale if ever there was one.
Well, you can see she actually lies down in the coffin at the beginning of the scene (obviously the transition was too short), she has her eyes open and freezse, then closes her eyes, then breaks.
J. Rotkaep i rewatched it to check and you are absolutely right, he somehow lays perfectly still it's creepy! all the other cast either breaks or breathes so their chests are moving, but andy has another talent in his sleeve
It’s well written and starts very grounded, whereas newer sketches already start at an obscene place, so there’s no way to heighten it when you already start at the top.
@@MrDino1953well subjectively speaking, I do not believe that was the funniest part of the sketch. Objectively speaking, op couldn't objectively declare an opinion as objective, so added an element of subjectivity to his opinion, subjective in nature, of what should be objective.
It’s so great the audience breaks with them in real time. I can’t even imagine their friendship off screen, just hysterical laughter from two of the funniest people ever
I love that like 30 seconds in we get the line “a bear came out of the woods and ate him” and this is the first time I’m thinking “then why is it an open casket?”
I did call the Four Eyes plot twist, but I did not think he had a partner. Then the real plot twist came along. Does catching 1/3 of a plot twist counts? I'm still gonna brag about it.
You can see one of the Castleberry laughing and breaking in the second coffin right as the segment starts, amy Poehler is dying too, that she has to cover her face.
