Best mags but like all new mags top them off and let the springs settle in , even says on the box . 1911 is a tight machine that needs lubricant and gets better the more you break it in . More modern designs like glock sig beretta etc come ready out the box , but there is something so simple and pure of a single action hammer cocked 45 1911 all steel . But they are not glocks they need lube if not a good grease on on the rails . Heavy steel on steel creates lots of friction the heat especially since they are tight fitting . I’ve seen so many guys at ranges that don’t clean or lube their guns , can’t do that for long with 1911 , treat them well and they will take care of you . Cheers and Semper Fi

Most magazine manufacturers like Mec-Gar suggest you top off your magazines and unload them ten times, then load them and let them settle over 24 hours, then, range time!! I did that with these when I first got them, they are running great!!

Bought 5 of these and I get really bad nose-diving in both my 1911’s with them, really frustrating, I should’ve just bought the 8rd version, cos if I load em with 8, no dramas.

Another great video sir. I was just wondering if the coating on the black ones add a little slickness to them. I’ve always used the plain stainless ones with great success. Good stuff.

Let me put it this way, I have yet to see a properly made 1911, to the Original Specs that this magazine doesn't fit on!! Springfileds have always been to specs!! If you find any pistol this magazine doesn't fit on, it's NOT well made or made to the original Specs!!

Yes, it will fit all 1911 style pistols in .45 ACP!! You might have to be careful with Officers models, not to shove the magazine too deep, the stop on the mag is for standard 1911 frames!!

I'm new to owning a .45 1911. I purchased a Springfield 1911 Ronin Operator. I haven't been able to find if this extended mag would fit my pistol. I appreciate your input if you have one. Basically I am unaware of if these are universal. I have two 8 round mags and would like something holding a couple more rounds.

This fits ALL 1911 .45 ACP with a 5" to 4" barrels with a full size frame, so yes, I do have a Ronin Operator and it DOES fit!!

These will fit in ANY 1911 magazine carrier. It all depends on what you like.

@@TennGrizz Oh, OK, I have never used those, I never use Mag Pouches with Covers for this same exact reason, they limit my mag length.

I know you're super excited about showing off these new magazines, but have in the same video as introduction the range trip it's not that hard to record them and then edit them into the same video. Cuz I just wasted 2 minutes waiting for a range trip.

@@yrsued when are RU-vid searched 1911 high capacity magazines, this video is the top of the list. So I naturally clicked on it, since it was the top of the queue I wanted to find there was talk and no action. Like the old lady used to say "where's the beef"? Sorry you can't take critism. 3 years, you should be able to make a awesome video telling about issues? Aka: 3 years and 900 rounds later, we have had X FAILURES TO FEED. That would be handy to know.

@@yrsued in a review, you have to do more than just talk or unbox something. You can do what you did and all of a sudden you have horrible feedback and a very very low thumbs up rate you have a very little thumbs up for your thumbs down rate you might want to think about that

Large capacity mags are great for many firearms but I'm not so sure for the 1911. If it can't be knocked down with 7, better work on aim.

How about you're shooting USPSA Limited Ten Competition, you want to shoot the Match with 8 Rounds? Out there, there is NEVER a reason to say you have too much ammo, unless you're swimming...

@@yrsued Well sir, I will have respect for USPCA but I'm only giving my opinion on personal preference. Absolutely no offense but a new Range Officer looks and performs very nice with the two magazines.

@@dannymanny6917 One of my best friends carries a Stainles Combat Commander with a 10 Round Chip McCormick Mag, he has done so since the mid 90's, NEVER had an issue!! BTW, he carried Mexican Style (Without a holster) and appendix before it was hip to do so!!
