Guys that come here in the future. I love Wilt. Just watch my other Wilt reactions😂this video was one of those videos like a first take. I was trying something different. Like contradicting myself so talk ya shit but dont get too upset😂😂Love yall in advance
With less teams the stars played each other more often more often than today. Because their not spread out as much. This is the biggest misconception younger people/we make
If you cut the current NBA in half and redistributed the best players amongst the remaining teams, the league would immediately become better and more watchable.
I've been adding this to my recent comments on youtube Wilt -vids....enjoy!.... Wilt Chamberlain, on March 18th, 1968, completed the only quintuple-double in NBA history. … Pollack recorded that Wilt finished the game with 53 Points, 32 Rebounds, 14 Assists, 24 Blocks, And 11 Steals. So fun to think about! 🤣🤣🤣
I’m 70 years old and been watching NBA since 1959 when Wilt came in as a rookie. I’ve seen them all. In my opinion, Wilt was and still remains the greatest individual basketball player of all time.
It was 9 teams in 62, by the time he retired it was 18/19 teams. The nba added more almost every year. I think by 69 it was 16 teams or 17. The nba started in 48 and was dying without mikan. Wilt and Elgin saved the league. And they played in converse all stars until the 80’s. Had to edit Wilt is the only one to beat Russell during his time. The year the Celtics lost in the finals before 8 in a row Russell was hurt in the 58 finals so he lost
You COMPLETELY missed the point of him bringing up the height of the centers Wilt faced. The point was to debunk a claim made by ignorant basketball fans that he faced 6"3 white centers. Johnny Arnett NEVER said that his opponents being tall made them automatically good. You also talked over the part where he listed some HOF centers he faced. People are kind of right when they say you don't pay attention. I didn't really have a problem with what you said until you said Johnny Arnette doesn't know basketball. Also, the "cuz he dominated 9 teams" argument is bull. In Wilts last year there were 17 teams and Wilt STILL led the NBA in rpg with 19 rpg at age 36. You don't know what you are talking about.
Yeah lmao. Then he finishes the video by saying "he doesn't sound like a hooper". Like what? He didn't say ANYTHING that was false. What did Johnny say that was incorrect? NOTHING. This guy is full of himself.
I usually dont respond to comments but they aint have 400+ players in the league is what I was saying he played them same few guys and dominated them. Dont get me wrong im not discreditting Wilt but somethings do come into play when you think about it
@@smithfamilytv03 there’s nothing to think about. He literally adressed that point in the video. It doesn’t matter if u are facing the same teams constantly if those teams are the best players on the planet. Imagine a league where there are no trash teams. And every team has Hakeem, shaq, Robinson, Ewing, wilt, Kareem, etc. and every night the greatest centers are going head to head. That would be exponentially better than facing those guys once or twice a year and playing 20 trash teams every year. look up a video called the best 6 centers of the 60s by the wilt chamberlain archive channel. That videos actually showcases some highlights from some of wilts strong competition in that era.
In term of being a pure athlete, Wilt is the greatest of all time by far. His genetics and athletic ability is through the roof. Muhammad Ali once told a story of how his friend told him he saw Wilt lift a car.
Wilt Chamberlain would have been a contender for the goat if he had never scored a point. His rebounding, shot blocking, and assists totaled out a lot of possessions, shut down points against the opposing team, and the assists, especially in the 2nd half of his career, with the assists. If you watch him play, you can easily see the almost nonchalant, effortless, power and dominance of his movements.
Think about this. With only nine teams then are no scrubs in the league. Just think, Steve Kerr never hits his big shot because he would not have been in the league. Nine teams times 15 players equals 135 players.about three fourths of todays NBA players would not be in the league. Only nine teams means only the very best players of that day were in the league. So don't use the only eight or nine teams in the league crap to diminish Wilt's greatness.
O Hey.... That thing with Arnold S. went like this..... in an interview by Simmons & Arnold , When Simmons Says...Wilt was the strongest person...Arnold jumps in the convo &^ whole heartedly agrees, THEN Simmons finishes the comment , ..." to play ion the NBA! lol. Watch that vid & you'll see it ^ ^
Wilt got it up , while not defined here , got it close to 600 lbs > He said in a couple interviews that he was "close to 600 lbs...now, whether that's 570-590...who DF knows. Gotta take it with a grain of salt tho...cuz Wilt loved to exaggerate , lol. Here's what i dont get about the Big Dipper.....HE has ZERO-reason to exaggerate , He was like a fuggin Demi-God already!!!
50.4 points & 25.7 Boards....that season & GET THIS........He did NOT win the MVP that year!! Thats why he'd say "No 1 roots 4 Goliath"! Back then....The fan's didn't vote but the NBA players on the teams did. Everyone was jealous of Wilt & they gave to Russ that year! Now , The Celt's , as usual , won the title that year so...guess i kinda get it BUT , Championships are won by TEAMS & if I or any of you played in the NBA , & WE put up those #'s , & we did NOT get the MVP , I know I'd be saying..........WTF do i have to DO???????!!! ..right???? BULLSHIT!
How are you going to react to this video and you are singing to music during the dialogue? That's messed up. "This guy talking doesn't know basketball!" Apparently, YOU don't know basketball as well. It IS an insult to Wilt's legacy. You had two different leagues back then. Tell that to guys like KAREEM, LANIER, AND RUSSELL. Russell gets credit for his ELEVEN rings, But Wilt gets no dominating credit?? If he played today, he would STILL dominate. Who's going to stop him?? Even Shaq couldn't stop him. What's even more impressive is that he accomplished all of this without going FULL intensity like Shaq. He tried his best not to hurt people. Today's soft league would make it too easy for him. He could score 60 point a night without busting a sweat. He could run a big man into exhaustion that was guarding him. He once picked up 6'11", 275 lb. Bob Lanier and moved him with ease. Guys like Draymond would get crushed.
@@smithfamilytv03 Upset? You could only wish. You definitely "gassing" yourself too much. You post a reaction vid, I have a right to comment. It's that simple. Yes it's "entertainment", but if you are going to react to a video, you have to pay attention. I will keep it moving. You have a good one man.
Dude make 9 teams in todays nba of the current rosters, dont you think it Will be Hard for embiid to dominate the centers? Thats what wilt were up against, i know his era was different but the 9 teams is a plus. Its simple math in any era if there Are only 9 teams the talent level goes up.
the 8 or 9 teams is actaully a better arguement for how good he was though. becasue the NBA is the top. you have nly 150 players inthe world making the top 9 teams vs nearly 500 today. so youare always force dto play the best of the best of the best every day
