I loved your initial reaction when Lee said it was true, that was absolutely priceless, then the relief on your faces when he revealed it to be a lie. This is one of my favourite stories from WILTY, primarily because of the double reveal at the end, I can see how it would have been bad for both David and Rob had it really been true

The reason the host was pointing out that it was today to add to the story is obviously us viewing it at home wouldn’t have seen the episode until months after it was filmed and the wedding had happened.

If this had been a true story... As far as Lee Mack's wife is concerned about not being able to attend Harry & Megan's Wedding that day... Because she'd had a prior commitment... There are some prior commitments that simply can't be changed... No matter how much you would like to attend the Royal Wedding... A close lifelong friend's funeral perhaps... Where she had already confirmed that she would be attending... You couldn't really make up the excuse that you were ill and unable to attend on that day... As your face would be shown all around the world for everyone to see... As you'll have been captured enjoying yourself while attending the Royal Wedding... So if this had been a true story... Then yes... There are some prior commitments that you simply can't alter guys... No matter how much you would want to. 👍

Greetings from Scandinavia guys. In England you might hear that they're all German. In Norway you might hear that they're all British/Danish. In Sweden you might hear... Don't even get it started. Meh, Megan acted how I think most people thought she would, so there was no real shock there. I think the bigger dissapointnent was how Harry reacted and his comments about the British Public and really, how easy he bowed out. Then the interviews just became and Embarrassment. He will never be able to come back from that. I think now when they're spoken of, mostly the response from british people is and eyeroll and a sigh 😂

I went to that wedding, was amount the crowd on the Long Walk in Windsor and had a wonderful time 🥳 Despite what has happend since then I have no regrets as we went to wish joy and happiness to a couple on their wedding day and were entirely genuine in our regards, unlike the couple themselves it seems 🤔🤨

Like others have said, people cared then. Harry was our favourite prince, plus it would be a class thing. Lee is lower working class whereas Rob and especially David are upper working class/middle class, so it would be a bit denigrating if he was invited and they werent. Obviously having seen how much of a complete dissapointment Meghan turned out to be, noone would go nowadays.

Doesn't really matter who your favourite prince is though, does it? A monarchy is not a democratic institution. Harry was never going to be a King so who cares about this stuff? We should all just be grateful for the late Queen Elizabeth's long life and the current King Charles patience and ability to take on this role. If either of them, from incapcity or death, were unable to take on this role then the monarch of Great Britain would be the current Prince Andrew. Not a question of who is likeable or not, since who succeeds who in a monarchy is decided by the rules of the monarchy itself. In any case, UK taxpayers seem to be happy (or perhaps just complacent) subsidizing the Royal family. And if Prince Andrew became King? Unlikely he would be subject to the kind of vitriol that is directed to Meghan Markle. I mean, royalty gives you a free pass...or so it seems.

In terms of going to the wedding it matters if you like them, i tend not to go to weddings of people i dislike. If HM King Charles dies Andrew does not become king, William does. The UK monarchy operates on absolute primogeniture. I agree that William’s likeability doesnt influence his succession, nor should it. The monarchy is not paid for by the taxpayer, thats just commonly held misconception. Prince Andrew will never become king, from the moment of Williams birth that was the case and has remained so. In order for Andrew to become king, William, both his sons, his daughter, Harry and his son would all have to predecease him. Meghan was disliked because she attempted to flout traditions and precedence. She pretended the rules of the monarchy didnt apply to her and was rude and obnoxious. After she then forced Harry to cut ties to his family (for privacy, lmao), she then made defamatory remarks in the media about his family to try and keep herself in the public eye. So yes she is now treated with vitriol, she did it to herself.

Markle could have been an absolute goddess to all women, especially visually ethic women, all around the common wealth, she throw that all away when she swanned off and left a load of Tongan people very disappointed and decided to get her race card out. Markle thought being a royal was going around just waving at the riff raff, she didn't realise, like a lot of anti royalist, they they have to work very hard doing a mind numbing boring, but very important diplomatic job. Made a documentary saying no wonder they are all racialist when the country is built on slavery, when 95% of the country had nothing to do with it and the UK alone ended it when it was a norm - too right people are angry

First time I watched this episode I knew right away it was a lie cause he said his wife couldn't go anyway, and he didn't explain why wasn't she able to go, was it health reasons? that would have been considered a plausible reason not to go, but if she had like a precommitment, she could have rescheduled and it would have been understable. What woman in the world would give up the opportunity to attend a royal wedding?
