Lee violated the cake on purpose - he's smart & quick. He didn't know what was the flavor, so he 'ruined the cake', learned that it was citrus-y, etc. :)
Lee Mack has appeared on The Great Stand Up to Cancer Bake Off a few years ago and I seem to recall he actually had to bake a cake for one of the challenges. It's a celebrity version of The Great British Bake Off that raises money for Cancer Research UK. Nadiya Hussain sitting to next to David Mitchell is the most successful winner of The Great British Bake Off having gone on to present several TV series, write best selling cook books and even bake a cake for the late Queen Elizabeth II's 90th birthday.
Some people in the comments are saying that you should check out Diane Morgan (they obviously like her "dry" humour), but I find her so boring that I always give her a swerve. Her accent doesn't do her any favours either.
The fact that he was so willing to tear into and ruin the cake that he supposedly spent a good while making for and in the image of David as well as his first answer being SIX eggs for a tiny sponge... yeah didn't believe this one bit xD Lee is always the most entertaining when he is lying though :)
David Mitchell has a fantastic book out now called "Unruly" which I love because it combines my two favourite things, history and humour. I highly recommend it.
Try Lee Mack live at the apollo. Absolutely hilarious. Also Lee Mack being a cockney😂. We went to see him years ago and he was absolutely brilliant and great at ad-lib. There was a power cut about half way through the show and he handled it brilliantly.
What you have to remember about this show is they have to guess if the statement on the card is a lie or true. The explanation of the statement will be embellished with lots of possible lies and as you have seen Bob Mortimer is a master of this with his crazy names of people.
I've enjoyed watching Boring Reviews for quite a long while now. So long, in fact, that I can remember Nick getting one of these *right!* Christmas 2021, I think it was. When you do your homemade WILTY show, who's gonna write the fabrications? Can't be anyone from either side, obviously, so I guess you'd have to invent those individually. Sounds like fun though.
@@Dave-jm3zf- lol Good one. You know if Nick reads these gags he'll feign a little chuckle, but really he hates it. He's very competitive and there's nothing wrong with that, of course. But you can almost hear the crushing of his insides every time he gets one wrong. He needs a win, and soon. Lot of pressure on the next one. Here's hoping. Mind you, I've gotten a couple wrong on *second viewing* before now, so I can't really talk.
Diane the lady sitting next to Lee is well worth your attention as she plays a character Cunk on TV where she presents programmes in a funny and very unusual way also another show called “Mandy” which is my favourite of her characters
Diane Morgan ( Philomena Cunk) has a bizarre one on this . The legend Bob Mortimer makes up Lee's team . The cake did look just amateurish enough to make it plausible but it was never going to be true .
Please do more QI when you can please. Great show and thousands of very funny moments over the years. The show still air but not the same without Fry. 👍🏽 Lie to you is just as good of a show. 🫶
