What a magnificent house. I loved the yellow drawing room. The wallpaper was beautiful and the lighting was perfect. That chandelier was so unusual and unique. What a tour. Thank you 🙏

Hi Ljnda! Thankyou for your lovely comments! The chandelier is an original gas light! Imagine lighting it and how dangerous it was... there's a 2nd version on the staircase... Wimpole is one of the Grandest houses and it was a much loved family home... Best wishes 😊

Just a little comment from an American in Honolulu Hawaii 🇺🇸 Rudyard Kipling loved our Islands and was very close to the Hawaiian royal family. Photos abound and he even wrote a poem to honor Crown Princess Victoria Kaiulani. I thoroughly enjoy your channel. ALOHA 🏄🏼‍♂️🏄🏼‍♂️🌴🏖️😎🚢

Hi Neil and Ant we love Wimpole it's one of our favourite NT places we visit regularly. The domed drawing room is a wonderful room we love the murals enhanced by the way the light comes through. The ceiling in the library is wonderful and like you say the library is so impressive. We enjoyed your commentary and loved the Queen Victoria anecdote. Was good that you were able to go upstairs hopefully more nt properties will be fully open soon. The plunge pool always amazes us 😆. The gardens and grounds are so extensive as well. We were just down the road in Cambridgeshire at Ely today. We loved your ending in the car, the wind did pick up a bit for us as well. A fantastic video really loved it and all the history as well. I think the library was possibly the room that stopped us in our tracks ... it is superb in every detail! I love the romantic attachment Elsie seemed to have with the house you can tell it was a much loved home... How funny you were so close by... we will definitely bump into each other on one of those inbetween days! One of us has a big birthday tomorrow [ I'll let you guess who 😆 ] so our trip out was part of the birthday treat to be continued tomorrow!
