Update6 months and I'm still loving this bench. ru-vid.comUgkxo_64lVTGMk7y4aXTPxPOcQ3YTLyQ6kYV I use it almost daily. I've gotten used to the small wobble and it's no problem at all. Love the storage, it folds right next to my weight set in the garage and hardly takes any space. I wish the covering material was a little bit tougher. I have a feeling that in a couple years it'll tear, but the bench is very well priced that I would just buy a new one.3 month usage review. Awesome bench for someone looking for compactness and storage. I did have to drill a couple holes to adjust my preferred seating position and leg bar position but that's only due to my personal preference. It's very sturdy for normal workouts, but for anyone going above 100# dumbbell press it wobbles ever so slightly. I would probably go with a fixed bench if that's the case. That being said i can accomplish 99% of my normal gym workout with this setup. Very happy with the purchase.
Felt bad for Nick people were just taking advantage of him for free money instead of a video idea of trying to go for a good weight.Video gave $320 to homeless people. Nick should of started it out at 140 pound minimum, but it would take out a lot of girls. In this video maybe 3 people could of done 140 pounds besides the cameraman.
Most adults I know can barely bench 135, I’m 15 and bench 255 in a gym full of strong people, 1 guy does 8 sets with 405! Its kind of a shock seeing how strong the real world outside our gym really is.
Should've asked people how much they can bench. Then when they say the weight, you reveal the bench press and see if they're telling the truth or not, pay them if they are.
@@jakev0895 yes, but he’ll certainly save some money lol. They say “uhh, probably about 315” and he says “ok, we have a bench press around the corner and will give you $315 if you can hit it” will likely save the guy money, and embarrass Mr. Ego
@@DanRichter it’s not about ego. With a proper warmup and my wrist wraps I could probably hit over 225. Without those things idek if I could hit 200. I normally rep 200.
@@mxz2024 yeah but theses are kilo. Here, we talk about pounds. So 100lb is around 45kg. But my old gym coach was able to bench press 200lb and deadlift over 400lb. She was really strong
@@lapizza7175 i know man. Thats why I said 100 pounds is really good and mentioned the ranges👌but for 1 rep max. it is not thst good anymore Buut considering no warmup and that they pressed it with ease... 100 pounds is advanced for sure. I press 60-70kg for reps at the moment. Did not test my max but I think I could so 85+kg 1 Rep. Maybe even 90+
@@Ashes1212 Everyday ends in a Y, for example mondaY, sundaY,SaturdaY. so him saying he works out in days that don't end with a Y means he doesn't work out at all lol
Also seems like a bit of a suspect figure when they're in the 120-130lbs bench range. Granted upper and lower body strength does tend to occur in a different ratio in women than men, but...
This just made me feel really good about benching 260. I feel really weak cause i cant hit 3 plates like the big boys, but when its put into perspective of normal people it makes me feel really good about myself and my accomplishments.
@@RyanMonty ^ yeah i just thought the same thing...only i couldnt think of what they use in the UK lol Kilo ...thats all of Europe too right not just UK?
This puts into perspective when us regular lifters compare ourselves to to the elite how proud we should be of ourselves. My bench is like 250 at 190 which is pretty meh but I’m proud of it! Everyone is on their own strength journey and lift for fun and and for You not for your ego!
It does really put into perspective how good your progressing and how we feel weak compared to what we see online. After scrolling through insta you feel incredibly weak in comparison but to the average person you are actually pretty strong. I've only been lifting for 4 months but I can do 140 for 7 reps which feels great
yea it's interesting how perspective changes how you view your current fitness level. im right at 170lbs and bench around 200. it's never been something im especially proud of but when you realize that you're still putting up more weight than 80-90% of people, you do start to be a little bit more proud.
The whole point of those instagram posts is to feel empowered lol. I feel I wouldn't do too well on this but I still feel proud being able to do 180 at 123.
Those kind of pokemon are hard to get , he had to lure that one out 😂 straight up natural jiggle , she dont even lift or squat. A grade Prime Snow bunny
@@enzyte9215 ehh, if they go to heavy (which considering its a deadlift they probably will) its more dangerous then bench because they dont know proper form and will not have correct position or brace properly. deadlifts is a great exercise and its easily my favorite lift but having random strangers who never lifted a day in there life possibly ego lift is not the best idea
Actually makes me feel good about myself watching this I’m 15 and have being going to the gym for around 6 and a half months and my max is almost 150 pounds so looking at how people who don’t go to the gym do makes me happy that I’m making progress
This positive experience right here will ignite in a few of these folks a spark to hit the gym or start working out in their homes to be in better shape. Kudos to you bud for putting up this kind of content.
I respect that fact you brought it to the people, a lot of people overlook the difficulties of training and gyming serious , most think it’s as simple as just showing up but quickly find out it’s much more to it.
@@yehiasvlogs281 yeah, I’m not sure if you understand what I’m saying. Sometimes people say “I cant!” prematurely, and they’re not used to pushing themselves out of that comfort zone… maybe you’re familiar with “a person who says they can and a person who say they can’t are both right?” Basically she psyched herself out, then failed.
@@josuebrown6001 dude, she probably didn't go to the gym for most of her life, so she probably can't bench it properly, plus she isn't used to he small weights. When I was 17, and weighted around less than 60 kg which I believe is 129-130 pounds, I barely even benched 90 pounds so don't laugh about people being "weaker"
@@josuebrown6001 youre right she cant, she most likely invested her time into something she found more important and is way better at those things than bench, get off her case bro
Anyone there could have pressed way more with a few form alterations for sure. It’s kinda cringe from a meat head standpoint but I gotta remember not everyone has the same passions as myself and I’m glad to see ppl having some fun with weights
you´re a huge gym motivation spreader to me. I´ve been hitting the gym consistent the past 4 months and now i can bench press 60kg/132lb at 14 years old. Wish i got my 132 dollars hahaha!
@@maxbodybuilding3928 for maxing? I don’t check my max anymore since I’ve learned it doesn’t matter how strong you are, but when I did I would slowly progress towards my max with multiple sets of 1 rep
I normally hate these type of videos but this was really cool and inspiring. Not only did you help people but you encouraged people to maybe start lifting. Good job.
Social media ruins me man. I'm 21 and my 1rpe is 275lb @ 185lbs bw. I feel weak seeing every social media post people repping 315+. Seeing this vid actually made me feel a lot better about myself considering the average person seems to not even be able to bench 135lbs +
Cause you follow fitness people. Remember only 10% of soon to be 9 BILLION people can bench 315 for 1 PR. Not even 50% can bench 225. So don’t feel bad. 275 is better than 80% of the world. You aren’t weak man. Keep up the grind. 💪
This guy is really smart he really knows how to promote his business to the next level , man he’s the real deal , great vibe , great video , I’m a fan big dawg 👏🏾👏🏾🤩💯
The last guy that pulled off 160 I knew he was going to do it because how he lifted himself up to the bar before benching. I feel like he worked out a bit in his past because it took me probably around a year to learn that tactic. I believe it 100% helps.
@@abbasalaskari1320 that's what the literal definition of tactic is. "an action or strategy carefully planned to achieve a specific end". This is a action, people plan to do this... And then your achievement is not to get injured or lift more til the end right? So how you do not see this as a tactic is beyond me... because it litterly screams tactic...
@@abbasalaskari1320 someone's still salty from not knowing the definition of tactic... no need to cry over it though... I'm sure u will graduate preschool eventually champ...
@@abbasalaskari1320 I'm not talking about tucking your shoulders either?? 🤭🤭 where in this comment did you even get that off of??? You're trying to hard to be intelligent, I can tell but it's okay big guy don't give up.
I agree with Eric, god bless you sir. A real decent thing to do and actually really enjoyable to watch I think its getting to know different people a bit that makes it good to watch. Oh and that your a nice fella.
I'm sorry but this is just dangerous for most people. Apart from the fact that benching without warmup isn't a good idea, they want the money and they would probably feel pressured to bench more than they should. Injuries waiting to happen.
Cool idea. Being an Olympian, Nick probably can’t even understand just how uncompetitive and lazy most people are. This turned into a comedy sketch where there was a line of regular people willing to do the absolute bare minimum for some quick cash, completely screwing over Nick’s video. Don’t necessarily blame them. Next time, there should be rules like bench at least your body weight with a scale to confirm. I get that there’s plenty of people who weigh over 100 lbs and can’t even bench 60lbs but the reality is no one wants to see a 14 minute video of people easily lifting 60lbs for one rep.
@@danilima6970 84ib would be you 1 rep max according to an online calculator, I haven't found the same one to be too far off when calculating my own 1 rep max.
I was a freshman 2 years ago when i watched this lowest point in my life, and I came back to this video and its crazy how time has passed and been doing calisthenics since I watched this video and just got into weightlifting for a month and I can bench 225. @@myrandomaccount9847 they are women...we men are was stronger even without training. Also Lifting is popular but still a most people never do any weight trainng cant bench more than 120
Seriously surprised nobody showed up who could lift 200. I haven't been in the gym in a couple years but I'm pretty sure I could still throw up 225 right now.
@Adolf hitler gaming bro over 80% of people can’t even bench their own body weight, if you haven’t ever benched then you’re probably not benching over 170 on your first try and I’m being generous. I’m someone who is 160 pounds and it took me 2 years to bench from 135 to 225 pounds
@Adolf hitler gaming lmao first of all you sound like you're 12 years old and second of all, if you have no training there is 0 way you can bench above your body weight.
