Hassayampa River - The name "Hassayampa" comes from a Yavapi Indian word, Hayesamo, meaning "following the water as far as it goes." Apache Indians referred to it as the "upside down River" because it flows underground most of the way. For most of its 100-mile course through the desert, the Hassayampa River only flows underground.
Congrats! So cool to see you two competing together. Was Poppy staring at your shadow while you were in the wash? 😂 you are right, what a totally cool place to ride
Thank you, Axton, for catching these cool clips! CNA fans really appreciate it, and congratulations on placing! The horses worked well and hard and that's all you could really ask for. What a cool roping arena, never been but it's on my bucket list!
Amry and Cisco this is so exciting not only to win a few events but getting your names out there as trainers. It was great to see some of the horses you rode.❤❤🐎🐎
Hi again AMRY FINALLY! Yay Three comments that couldn't send from my hacked phone. Been a bugger getting it fixed. Anyway been tagging along and soo happy for your 5th before and your results here. Great start for your event schedule. Love that tree lined draw! Used to exercise Quarter racehorses on those and let ranch clients cut loose on them. Soo fun! Thx for the shout out about enjoying my comments at your last live. Hope you smile and enjoy a tip once in a while from them lol. A big hug to sweet Fred. His weight looks great now. Good job! Keep enjoying all your busy busy days. Soo proud of you two how far you've come! Take good care catcha next time...
Thank you for coming along! Here is a little article I found about the Montana Travlers... www.thegaitedhorse.com/montana_travler.htm#:~:text=The%20look%20of%20the%20breed,oxygen%2Dto%2Denergy%20conversion.
Miss A do you prefer to Head or Heel when Roping steers? A how do I get my horse to go forward when my horse is standing still while I'm sitting on his back? What are the knots you guys use the most to tie up horses? Yes Levi is a Bay Roam Cisco horse. A if you or Cisco ever get stumped on how to solve a problem with a horse, how do you find your answer?
Amry here... I love heading because you get to be in control and you can really set up to the run for your partner BUT heeling is fun because it is a challenge and I am not as good on the heel side. I like both ☺️ You'll catch me heading more often at jackpots. We use bowline or half hitch knots mostly. First teach your horse to move forward on the ground... everything starts with ground work. Experience working multiple horses has helped us work through most problems . These are great questions that need detailed answers... I will answer on my next live ☺️🤠
Great video, that's a lot of teams to rope against so congrats on placing so high. Question: Have you ever had a horse as fast as Lollipop? If you gave her the go on that wash, she would have flown. Can't wait for the following jackpots and barrels!🎬
Thank you!! I think you meant to say Poppy? NO I have NEVER had a horse as fast as Poppy ... when she runs it's like her feet never touch the ground. Loli Pop is very quick footed - In a short distance I am sure Loli Pop would keep up with Poppy but over a long stretch I put my money on Poppy to win ☺️
Congratulations🎉…wooo hooo🎉, pretty fancy roping👌🏼👍🏼Pretty smooth ride in the wash🙌🏼 It is spring up here, the snow is gone pretty well off the fields, +13 c here today, the geese and crows are back! have a question…when you enter a clients horse in a competition, do you or do they pay the entry fee? Great video🙌🏼🤠🇨🇦
Thank you so much!! OH my so cold 😬 usually when we enter on client horses they pay the entry fees and then we split the winnings 50/50... usually - some different deals for different clients ☺️
Pretty decent roping on young horses…Amry I’d love to know what lay rope ya use to heel. I believe Cisco likes a MS, if he’s changed, please say what lay he uses now when ya get a chance. WSTR and USRoping they flag on the heeler at 7 and 8.5. Is that what they do at Rancho Rio? Going to Wickenburg and Rancho Rio is on my bucket list. Maybe someday
Hi there!! I use a medium soft heel rope or a brand new soft head rope. I just need a softer rope that I can actually swing... Most WSTR are flag on the face... we don't have a lot of US ropings so I am not sure but we do have some NTR ropings and those are flag on the heels. Rancho Rio just follows whatever rules the association has that is putting the event on. Hope this helps ☺️ Rancho Rio is definitely a bucket list item 🤠
@@cnahorses Hey y’all, B here, thanks very much for getting back to me. Since I’m getting a little long in the tooth, I’m very interested what lay good ropers use as I can’t use a HM any more. As I’ve said L and I live in Rock Hill, SC, perhaps not known for team roping. But Luke Brown just won The American Rodeo, and two other Rock Hill boys, Wyatt Reid and Will Specter won $308,000 at the WSTR Finale in December. So we’re not a bunch of rubes here in the Carolinas 😜 We love y’all’s videos❤️‼️
Sorry I was incorrect ... he is actually a Montana Travler - I don't know a lot about the breed but I think it is a mix between Morgans and Foxtrotters?
We use rodeo alot Indian my favorite was a huge family brought a horse the hole rodeo they rope barrel races bulldog ran poles ok and won some events that was a tuff horse when you think u seen all u haven't 😅
Thank you!! It's probably 20% women and 80% men .... that is just my guess - it would be interesting to know the actual number. Definitely more guys than girls but not uncommon to see girl ropers ☺️
