These 500s always capturing your e4/e5 knight... At first I was like "oof - why are they so bad?" But then I realized they're just following the habits. Good for them sticking to good habits.

Stonewall rule of thumb to keep in mind: 17:17 for practical purposes always play ne4 before castling in positions like this! castling first gives them Ng5 Qe7 f4 which is annoying to attack.
@garagavia
@garagavia Год назад
This is a total noob question, but if he goes Ng5 why can't you just go Ne4? I get that he can take you on e4 with his knight, but isn't that ok after we take back?

I wonder how this opening will fair against higher rated players, especially since he's forcing this pawn structure even though, with correct counter play, she should be ending up with either a vulnerable king, a bad bishop or a damaged pawn structure. Like best case scenario a closed postion, and in a blitz game, winning or loosing in closed postions literally becomes a coin toss. This is going to be fun and interesting to watch once he's high up on the ladder
