there is another way to get around maro's ruling, simply use R&D's Secret Lair so cards do what they say including the exodia cards

Actually Maro's ruling is correct by the comprehensive rules but it doesn't actually stop this combo from working. The question posed to Maro is what would happen if a card was placed onto the battlefield using Animate Object (as a token specifically). In this scenario, it is not considered a Magic card even if the object itself is a magic card. However, adding Claire D'Loon turns any token into a Magic card (Comprehensive Rules 108.2.) which means the box containing rules text on the bottom half of the card is the card's text box (207.1). R&D's Secret Lair has no effect on this combo. Exodia's condition (having all 5 pieces in hand) is recognised within the framework of Magic's rules but the effect (you win the duel) isn't defined. So regardless of whether it resolves or not, the game would continue.

@@wchenful cross out "duel" and replace it with game using a sharpie. The card says "As Written" doesn't say who wrote it...

I am so in love with the idea of this deck I am building it right now. But in my opinion you can skip the toy and use the Yugioh Cards right away since cards are basicly toys :)
