Win Your Social Security Disability Exam 3 

My exam was five minutes. It is a sham. The NP who ran the small storefront "no" factory had it set up like a conveyor belt. I also had a psych. exam. When it was done the psychologist said, "I don't say this to many people, but I'm going to recommend you for Social Security because you really need it." I was relieved, until I saw her report. She said I'm a little depressed, but OK to work. I'm guessing someone at the reconsideration office changed it or told her to change it. I reported it to the Psych Exam Board and SSA nine months ago., I've yet to hear back. I got my case remanded back to the ALJ. It's crooked and disgusting.

I agree qith another commenter that the '100K in 45 mins' is misleading. The 45 min apt is just a small part of the ridicuolously LONG, arduous, EXHAUSTING, FRUSTRATING PROCESS. I is ridiculously sad that people have to spend YEARS proving that they are too disabled to work. I have my 2nd ALJ hearing coming up in August, by that time it will be 2.5 YEARS since I applied... UPDATE 7/2724. I have had a lawyer thru this,whole process. I had my 2nd Hearing, during which the voc expert (voc expert were the same as at my 1st Hearing) said there were no jobs I could do. But the Judge still denied me. I have now been waiting for Appeals Council since last November.

I had an exams this morning. I am unhappy about my limitations and did try to force things. The most pain I had was when he asked me to touch my toes. My pain was a 7 and afterwards it was a 9 and had been almost 20 hours later. The doctor stood across the room, seemed like he didn’t care and was rushing, was very short with words, didn’t allow me to read him anything from my notes or to explain things, and I didn’t get much time to answer questions fully before a new one was asked. The pain and anxiety was so bad the night before, I couldn’t fall asleep and went without any rest. My paperwork said that there will be an x-ray involved, but there wasn’t. He said “I have your MRI, you’re good, that is all” and walked out. (4 year old MRI) I wasn’t sure if I should have asked about an x ray, but I just wanted to get out of there already because I did not feel comfortable. I know now that I shouldn’t have pushed myself so hard. When I was, I was afraid to say that I was in pain because I didn’t want him to think I was lying just because I can push myself past my limitations a single time. I was also afraid to grunt or make any noises from the pain so I held it all in. I believe that part is from my anxiety, so I was just not able to think correctly about the situation. I also had a psyche evaluation, he was nice and polite. Seemed like he understood and cared. I just messed up on a couple answers because my mind was all over the place and he did allow me to ready my notes that I had written down for him. I just hope that I can get disability for my mental health because then maybe I can be seen for my back with insurance and actually be properly evaluated and get better. Thank you for the video! This doctor is telling you all the right things. I've was born disabled and have been disabled for over 60 years. I'd say don't go in trying to hide or fake disability because a skilled doctor can detect inconsistency in patient disabling condition presentation immediately. I have cerebral palsy and lots of motor difficulties. My balance truly sucks. I fall hard and often when walking. My physical exam was rather limited. I was asked to stand up from wheelchair from my seated position. I can stand up but it takes my systems about 20 seconds to become stable when standing. Made me wonder if the doctor thought I was faking because I was not asked to stand on one foot. I could not hop on one foot. I offered to try but the doctor said no. I did the finger to nose to pen exercise but spasmed so much I near shook apart. My doctors were really good. Despite my autism I was friendly and tried my best to do all I could. I felt like garbage because despite trying my best I failed, was only partly successful or was slow at doing almost everything. I don't have good motor control at all. Seeing how bad I did in the exam depressed me no end. I knew I had deteriorated as I aged but I did not know I'd fallen apart to the degree revealed in the exam. The people at the office were sweet. They did not laugh at me or be mean. If I get disability or not I must say the people who did my neurological exam were extremely professional and very nice to me All I can say in my defense is I tried my best to comply honestly.

I filed my SSI/DI 17yrs ago online myself & I had over 10yrs of medical records & I was approved on my 1st try. At the time, you had to be unemployed for 1yr, then it took them 2yrs to process my Claim. I seen they're doctors, after we, a family of 4 were homeless for 3yrs. I got a $27k lump sum check, then $1700 a month there after, plus $697 for each child I had until they turned 18yrs old. This was coming from a $150k a year electrical engineer position.. I know get $2k a month. I think your $100k in 45min is a bit misleading because you have to have zero income for many, many years or keep getting denied for many years after which could equal that amount after years of zero income.

How do you examine a central nervous system disorder?

Hi Dr. Foster. Your videos have been very helpful. My friend had a SSDI special medical exam and the exam lasted 30 min. He did a quick physical exam, examined the left elbow for pain (deformity). He asked why are you here & proceeded to type his responses to his questions. He used your videos to help him prepare & respond to questions. At the end of the exam the Dr pulled down his mask, smiled warmly and told my friend he should hear back from the SSA in about 3-4 weeks. In your opinion, do you think the exam went favorable?

I’m afraid of my exam coming next week. Not because I’m dishonest, but if I’m honest about how I feel it’s overwhelming. Just a few years back I was just having a little pain and stuff but at this point I have so much going on and I’ve been to every kind of doctor and being sent to geneticists and oncology and mayo (but I can’t afford it) and everywhere I go cannot find out why my bones are calcifying and my bone marrow is abnormal. My range of motion is better than most like I can touch my toes and walk but my exhaustion and pain levels are very intense. I can force myself to walk half a mile but I would get home and have to lay down the remainder of the day and my pain would be beyond painkiller levels. It’s almost all of my joints and bones. I have Lupus but I also have some unknown thing going on. All docs have agreed. I’m being asked to do a comprehensive muskoskeletal exam with their doctor. I’m not really sure what that means.

I know this was a whole ago, i went to my first exam Monday, today, Friday I got a letter in the mail saying I need to go see my DR immediately per their DR. Is this a good sign? What should I expect? My anxiety will be through the roof until i can contact them Monday😢
