Indirect Tag Addressing in WinCC allows you to use text tags to dynamically assign tags to objects in runtime. It is a method to create reusable interfaces in WinCC for efficient engineering. It has been replaced by TagPrefix and Faceplates, but you may still see it used in some projects. Its good to know how it works and when it should be used.

I’m sure. Advanced has a lot of limitations with respect to unified. Also a different scripting language. What’s the biggest challenge doing this conversion? Scripting or something else?

@@WinCCGURU sorry late reply....so the unified have different structure behind more "javy", but i guess converting the script is easy. Also i think the version v19 is better comparing to v17...udt conversion is trick because if u have / in your tag name u will get a error and faceplate .svg i also dont like much the process of converting to .svghmi should be easy way from siemens
