GOOSERS! Another great video and I’ve been doing this myself for about five years. I’m breaking down a Federal heavy weight TSS 1 3/4oz 9 shot. Probably just record the information I’ve been loading TSS for four years and have made a bunch of my own loads and tested and killed, ducks, geese and turkeys. Now I’m switching back to what we grow up on lead and steel it worked great in the 90’s why not now for free. Got hundreds of pounds of steel and fifty pounds of lead mights well get working on new turkey loads. I have two hundred duck and goose bismuth loads left over for last season so guess I’m good there. I worked up a fast 1.5 oz with 3” hot primer cheddite red hulls stamped BOSS 😂 I bought a few thousand of those to load so I’m good on components, powders and shot. Loaded a slower 1 7/8 oz to spread fast for larger pattern due to wad manipulation. Testing tomorrow, then maybe bumping up to a 2oz load for patterning might bump a 1 3/4oz load testing copper, nickel and magnum lead! Nothing better than loading and testing besides family and skydiving.
I'm waiting to see if you do the grand slams I'm curious to see what it looks like with the pellets glued together. How about a hardness test in the pellets they use with the copper plated Winchester shot vs the non plated in the cheap Remington turkey loads?
Hello I’ve used the #5 2oz 10 guage loads for decades along with the grand slams. The grand slam started roll crimping about three years ago and lengthened the shell by a half inch. The new roll crimped shells won’t cycle in my browning gold.
What is insta who's and rumba what I was doing good with utube now you guys have changed I watched your videos your platform I liked how it was done entertaining and informative I really don't like a lot of those others but if I have to down load another tube rumbl switch thing I'll just watch your old ones and what I can find thanks guys loved the content old man out! Ed gone bye
So, what your series is showing is the manufacturers are skimping on shot. Translates to reloaders having better control? Probably! That hawk looks hungry.
I wouldn’t say these are misleading in any way, the total payload is right at what’s advertised on the box. Adding buffer to a certain payload would make it weigh more than what the powder charge was meant to handle.
