Wind almost took my plane - UMX Conscendo windy flight

The E-Flite UMX Conscendo is on top of my list of favorites, and ine of the best performing in wind.
So I wasn't really worried flying it on a windy day, until a gust took me by surprise. Then I lost sight of it for a couple of seconds. But all went well after all, it was a great flight.

Oh man.. nice save! This is the underlying fear of any pilot that gives a crap about their plane 😆 I had this happen years ago with the v1 Aeroscout. I was desperate to fly, it was super windy, but I figured it would be ok inside a tree line. As soon as I popped over the trees, "shwoop!" ..gone. I'd say it went a good 75ft over the trees, out of sight. My heart sank, and I just kept flying blind on instinct, bumping down on the elevator, and miraculously.. it came back up over the tree line. I landed immediately and went home having a micro heart attack but it was amazing😆

Thanks! Oh yeah, that's a big fear of mine, having a flyaway, second only to crashing. I usually don't fly when it's too windy but I knew the Conscendo could take it, plus it's good practice.

Definitely, the adrenaline is what got me hooked to flying.
