Instead of making the locks all the way at the end of the tag line you should try double walling the hollow core over the mono instead of ending the mono at your tag end you can still do the locks if you want just further back towards the loop. It eliminates that small weak section between the mono and and the end of your double wall hollow core. I think you might like it.
