Toon Link is my absolute favorite. He's a lot more relatable to in some way. He's awkward and frightened on things normal people would be scared of. He actually seems like a kid on a quest than a hero. He's so emotional, I love it

2:50 I like how you can see his expressions changing a bunch like first he's in disbelief and shock then he's like "nah they're not REALLY gonna do it" and on the last one he just prepares himself because he knows what's coming.
I like that this incarnation of Link has basically no connection to the Hero of Time at all - he's literally just some kid who dresses up like the Hero of Time (against his will!) and happens to share the same true name. The Hero of Time was trying to save the world whereas this kid just wants his sister back and doesn't care about anything else.
@@alventuradelacruz522 Yes he is. Ganondorf confirmed it. Fi only accepts Link as it's master. No one else can wield the Master Sword. Toon Link is not connected to the Hero of Time by blood, but it is connected trough his soul-spirit, whatever you want to call it.

i feel like the point of expressionless link, especially in botw, is so that the player projects himself and his thoughts on link because the player is the main character and narrative driver of the experience.
I wish BOTW Link had more expressions. Toon Link and Skyloft Link showed how expressive Link could be, and BOTW Link had some but was more a blank slate.
Toon link is by favorite my favorite. From the very beginning, he's established as just a kid who just does not give a shit. The boy just came out here to save his sister, but got roped into some prophecy that he clearly cares nothing about. The scene where ganondorf explains about the triforce and link's face just looking like "Yeah, great and all, but I really don't care."
You should’ve included the ones from the auction house! Those were some of his funniest. He had the pouty face, the determined look, and the “dude, come _on!”_ face whenever he was being outbid. 😂
