You can also hear a more lighter/depressing or whatever version of dragon Roost island when you enter rito village for the first time (this may be the proudest I’ve ever been of a comment)
I was jamming out that entire fight. Dragon Roost Island’s theme has been one of my favorite Zelda songs for years and while the Rito village pays tribute to it, the Colgerah fight music makes it as epic as it possibly could be
I've been hoping for a windwaker and twilight princess port to the switch ever since it dropped. considering nobody bought the wii u, yet the switch is a runaway success since pretty much day one, I'll never understand why it's been 6 years and they still haven't bothered.
@@Jack-rk7jc It makes absolutely no sense to me why it hasn't been ported to switch yet, tho I expect it to be eventually make it's way over there for now I'm just glad I can make it work on PC
This is a very heavily inspired WW-inspired dungeon, but also shout out to the subtle blizzeta theme in the background of the colgera boss music, while navigating the Hebra area that heavily overlaps with TP's Snowpeak mountains.
I noticed it almost immediately when I first colgera. The rito village theme in breath of the wild and tears of the kingdom is also the same as dragon roost.
Not only that, the literal only relation to the Temple of Wind that the Rito have is their home island being directly south of its entrance... Their sage was the Sage of Earth, and the Koroks had the Sage of Wind in their ranks...And why not mention the Koroks in both Wild and Kingdom?
Not only that, but the wind waker armor piece you get from a quest in Lurelin village(you know, the coastal village that is right next to the sea) allows you to move rafts faster with gusts of wind, and in the game files, the ability is called Wake Wind
This was my favorite Easter egg, also when launching from the towers you can hear a more upbeat version of the cannon launch sound when you first visit forbidden fortress in wind waker
I hadn't played the wind waker but I recognized the tune from Rito Village in BOTW and TOTK... When that dropped I got so excited. Colgera is my favorite boss for the music alone
The sound that plays when you use tulin's ability actually matches the interval for dragon roost islands theme, but a tritone away, furthur cementing the connection whilst enforcing the idea that tulin feels the desire for individuality.
At the beginning I was like "ofc, wind temple, wind waker [sarcastic]"... It's like saying "death mountain, like THE death mountain on OoT"... I mean it's obvious xD But the last one was a good one... 👍🏻
Ngl, Colgera was both one of the easiest bosses in Totk but also the most fun. You’re flying the whole time and the music is epic. I just want to do it over and over again
i actually died in the middle of fighting colgera the first time, and i didn’t even mind because the music and the fight itself were just so much fun also i cried a little because i grew up playing zelda with my dad lol
That tune… a song played by the rito so long ago, in a time so far back not a single soul can remember it, and yet that song Carrie’s on for eons and eons…
Every time I hear that riff it makes me wanna a) play the wind temple again and b) learn to animate because it just deserves every cool thing people can make with it
Man hearing this for the first time made me want to cry, wind waker is my favorite Zelda game and one of the most important games of my childhood. This music really packed a punch.
When I was fighting the boss for the first time and I heard the dragon Roost Island theme I cried tears of joy.❤ as it hit a special place in my heart off my childhood🎉
Wind Waker was my favorite Zelda game until BOTW and when I played TOTK and heard this part of Colgera’s theme, I teared up. I can’t believe how amazing this franchise is
A wind waker callback I actually really liked is the part whenever we unlock a new SkyView tower, I'm not entirely sure if it is a callback, but the tune that plays when unlocking the towers, Link making a weird face on the first time, and getting blasted off in the sky really reminds me of the time we get blasted to the forsaken forest from Tetra's ship
There's also a sped up portion of Molgera's theme with slight melody differences when the second to last phase starts and it stays with Colgera's theme till the end
Bet you at least one kid who is into Zelda watching this watched many TikToks with this song in the background, never knew it was from Windwaker and now has a blown mind.😅
