In 1998 I had the once in a lifetime privilege of leaving rural USA and traveling across the UK. Windermere impressed me in such a way that it will forever be in my heart. The people, both locals and tourists. The food. Obviously the scenery. I long to go back, hopefully.

It has been too long since I was last in the Lake District, and it looks like I won't be going back there for some time to come, so it's films like yours on RU-vid, that enable me to get my all too frequently needed 'Lakes fix': the one thing that soothes my heart and lifts my spirits when I'm missing the place more than usual.
thanks for the very thoughtful comment Dave. I have not been to the lakes since i recorded this in october and that seems like far to long a time to me. I cant wait to get back soon! i also think of it as a kind of therapy.
@@Barnyz It has been years since I was last in The Lake District, but back in the days when I visited the area regularly, if an extended time passed between my visits, it was almost a spiritual feeling when I finally went back: as soon as the rolling hills came into sight, with the higher fells in the distance, it was almost as if my entire body and soul relaxed - like I'd been holding my breath since my last visit. After all this time, when I next visit I can't imagine how I'll feel. Relief? yes. Joy? definitely. It will probably be one of those laugh or cry moments. (I'll let you know!)

Thanks guys. I believe it's the biggest lake in England (but probably not that impressive compared to really big lakes elsewhere inn the world). Those birds are very tame and will come very close for hand held snacks 😁 Have a great weekend 👍👍👍

We are currently planning a trip to the Windermere area and haven't been there for a couple of decades (except for visiting family which doesn't count 🤣). So was nice to watch your video for us to get a feel for the area.
Windermere is one of those locations that I never seem to tire of, the beauty of England at its best! Another fantastic cinematic video as always Barnyz, thanks for the inspiration for me to look forward to travelling again when it's safe to do so!
Have read online that privatized water companies are dumping their waste into it so not sure its safe to visit might want to avoid swimming in it or breathing in the fresh stink air .
