Remember to be careful when you draw the sword, the steel scabbard is murder on your edge. I have the Cold steel version and it's a beast of a cutter once you sharpen it for your self, I'm just wary of letting others draw it since people tend to drag the edge down the front of the scabbard.
Windlass Steelcrafts, Univeral Swords and anything else that is currently on the market from India - all of them have poorly heat-treated blades, and all of them severely heavier than the historical specimen. Keep in mind that Cold Steel is actually ordering their swords from the same sources in India. One can still get a decent sword for a decent price from Longquan (China).
The saber is horribly sharpened. You have to learn how to cut. Look how it should be done. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3XaRCqQaSk0.htmlsi=hHgObdqjpvOk3YIT
my whole form is ridiculous. I was working on it today,, ,, there is really a lot to a saber. I don't know if it's because it's heavy and long, or if it's the balance, or what,, but when I do something a little bit right it changes things so dramatically,,,, I must be moving like a total goof.
