I got a key in January 2019, at first I thought the key didnt work. Naturally i was pretty pissed off thinking i had just been ripped off, but then I followed the information provided by kinguin which was; "If you encounter any issues during activation, please follow these steps: Open Start menu, type SLUI 04 and press enter, Select your country, and call the toll-free number. Follow the instructions provided by the automated activation system to receive a confirmation ID and activate your OS." After about 15 min on the phone, i read them a code, they read me a code. And once i entered the code everything worked just fine. Hope this helps anyone who has experienced the same problem

lol. pay an extra dollar for the buyer protection. because if the site is dodgy at least they can't screw you over after they screw you over...

Worked for me :) was a little bit worried when I got the "this activation code has been used by another computer" but contacted Microsoft as instructed and they finished activating it for me . Whole thing from purchase to phone call took about 30 minutes.

You go into a lot of technical details, but why do you fail to mention to your audience that those keys can be 1) Stolen 2) Not meant for your current local market 3) Legally a grey area for end users to use OEM keys And for any and all of this reasons can be revoked, as WE KNOW Kinguin has had issues with many people who bought Ubisoft keys losing their products? Yes they might "protect you" but that really doesn't means they actually will or that it won't basically brick your system while you sort it out. So which is it, were you willfully ignorant of all of this stuff or do you just don't care that you're stopping just short of condoning piracy on your channel Paul?

I address the subreddit in the video, I haven't personally shopped at G2A but lots of people have been sharing their experiences. - If you're gonna do this, why not just pirate a copy? I don't approve of piracy and I try my very best to avoid it. So I would not approve of stolen/pirated keys being re-sold on Kinguin or anywhere else. Quite a few reports of "fraudulent keys" being sold on Kinguin have been brought to my attention since posting this (Ubisoft etc.), mainly with video games. I don't have a good answer for the video games side of this right now, and I do support paying real cash money to video game devs (especially the indie games). - Aren't these just MSDN keys? They could be; I am hoping they aren't. I am pretty sure the keys I've gotten through r/microsoftsoftwareswap were MSDN keys, and as stated in the video I've had those de-activate on me after months of use. My assumption for now based on what was delivered to me is that the key I bought on Kinguin was an OEM license sold in bulk from Microsoft to a distributor or system integrator. Microsoft sells Windows licenses in bulk for way less money than you would pay as a consumer purchasing a single copy. Whether these distributors are following Microsoft's guidelines in re-selling the licenses is beyond me (I'm pretty sure Microsoft doesn't approve), but if I can access their bulk pricing via this method then I am gonna do it unless I find a significantly compelling reason not to. - Windows 10 sucks/is evil/will spy on you etc. This is well documented, and again if you're not into Windows 10 there are other Win7/8 licenses available. The older versions will eventually stop getting support & security updates from Microsoft though, at which point you'll probably need to upgrade anyway. I, like many of you, have resisted Winodws 10 for some time, but I know I will need to figure out a way to live with it eventually. Check out Jerry's video linked in the description for some great tips on locking Win10 down so it will stop tracking your activity (or at least make you feel like you've stopped it, lol).

Well… I am read the comments and all the positive experiences people have had. I guess I’m just special, cause I got ripped off! Followed the instructions and and got an error, so I called a live agent and they said this license was used too many times. Kinguin has not responded to my help ticket.

Don't buy anything on this site or G2A.

You should take this ideo down, selling MSDN keys is considered illegal as microsoft do not condone it.

There was a screen shot of the Windows Key, and tried entering they key on my Windows Activation screen on my desktop-but it says it was already claimed (foreshadow by me...but not yet) 3. Typed in SLUI04 on the search on the bottom left of Windows 4. Brought me to the Windows Activation screen, and click on Activate by Phone 5. Select your Country and click next 6. Call the toll free number 7. Enter the long number 6-8 digit numbers shown on your screen 8. Confirm ID and you just bought yourself a $27 Windows 10 Pro. (Shakes off dust from hands)

Seems like a bad idea to me. First they don't even send you the physical COA. In Microsoft's terms and conditions OEM license should of the COA affixed to the computer that it is buying. Also just because it activated does not mean it will stay activated or activate the next time you need to reinstall windows. just doing a search for "kinguin legit" on Google brings up some pages with problems such as keys being deactivated due to the. originally being purchased with a stolen credit card. So good luck some keys may never have a problem but you never know. also what will stop them from reselling that same key in a few months as they are only giving you a picture of it.

For those who bought a key that says it is invalid due to already being used, make sure you are selecting change key rather than activate new one when activating it.( i had the same issue until i did this)

My friend bought an oem key from kinguin, it didn't work at all. He demanded a refund since he paid for the protection program. They emailed him saying that he'll get a refund for the key after they sell the broken key he bought to someone else !!! He bought the key in December and still haven't got a refund...

Still on Windows 7, im afraid of change lol.

Found out about this from you years ago. I've been doing this on all our machines since. I also needed to do refreshes on laptops for my kids and for friends kids for distance learning. Cheap windows keys made that a lot easier. Thanks man

for everyone wanting a better experience, buy a key off ebay for 5-15 bucks. Most of the sellers only sell the code to one person. Mine has been activated for over a year now and iv reinstalled multiple times

Oh man this was so easy! You literally just have to follow the instructions EVEN IF if says that the key is already in use elsewhere. Just use the command SLUI 04 and call a representative, give them the number, and type the number they give you. Everything should be perfect in like 3 minutes.

Be careful. I was just scammed. I bought a copy of windows 10 pro and the key was invalid. Spent two hours on the phone with Microsoft to be told I was hosed.

I've been torrenting my copies of Windows from reputable places since I was a kid, I've never felt the need to get a legit copy.

Hacker steals CC > Hacker buys several Keys > Credit card owner pulls back charges > Hacker keeps keys > Hacker sells keys to this website.

I buy my keys from eBay. It's like $8 for an OEM windows 10 pro key. Its completely legal, because they take the keys from faulty hardware. The best part is it arrives instantly, no need to wait for a shipment.

i’m not paid or anything but another website like this that i like to use is g2a.com they also sell windows keys and game keys, one of the websites may have a 1 or 2 dollar difference between fames

I got one in June of 2016 and now it's Feb 2017 and I have nothing bad to say about it. The OS updates and just works like it should. I built my son a rig in Jan and got another OEM from kinguin and it also works like a charm.

Key had already been used. This video cost me $40. Days were spent attempting to activate with Microsoft and attempting to reach Kinguin. Paypal was complicit, sided with Kinguin, who had never even responded until it was over. Why haven't you deleted this? And apologized?

Be advised, as of writing this comment you need at LEAST an 8GB USB drive to download the Windows Tool. Just tried it with a 4GB stick and it will not accept it. Hope this saves someone some trouble :)

windows 10 pro safely got, no problems with key, had gotten home first too, just had upgrade it to pro using the pre existing key (theres videos already for it) and boom my key worked no problem. had been very skeptical too before hand and had just built my first computer from the ground up minus case. and decided to just do it cause hey 30$, im losing 3 hours of time at minimum wage whatever. but very satisfied now. gonna wait a while and maybe even get whole windows office this way lol

Stay away from Kinguin, they will just screw you. You lost any creditably you might have had.

I tried Kinguin for windows 10 pro and have not been able to activate it with the code provided. It was previously used. I am attempting to get a refund (hahaha) as I did purchase the insurance. It was $40 total, I will update the community with their reply to my request for a refund. UPDATE: Kinguin stepped up and gave me a full refund via onsite credit, customer service was really nice. (even though they later determined the key was valid). Nice.

Firs, thanks for your video, it is really helpful. I would like to know how to uninstall windows 8 and then install this windows 10. It worked perfect in one of my laptops that I had to install a new Hard Drive so it was very easy; just plug in the USB with the new windows 10. Now, I have another PC that I really want to upgrade to windows 10 but this windows from Kinguin is not for upgrades, so that is why I have to uninstall widows 8.

After dealing with Kinguin ever since this video came out, I got screwed over by the company's customer support. A real shame.

Hi kinguin no longer does the retail key so where can u buy the retail as I am planning on buying a pc but choose no OS installed to save money so if I bought a OEM key for a computer I did not manufacture is that ilegal or what should I do?

You're buying a key, this doesn't give you the license... Sure selling the key is legal in Germany, so buying it should be legal anywhere i guess? However, unless you already have a license, using a key without the license can't possibly be legal can it?
