I'm pretty sure it can all be automated by creating your own shell extension with a batch or powershell script, so you can do most of the work with a single right click. One context menu option for copy (cache the folder path), another for paste (use that path with robocopy in the current location) I can easily login using my local account credentials despite it being a MS account. Even Microsoft accounts have local credentials. I don't even get it how it's a problem? Am I missing something? Anyway good guide thank you.
The problems is the Microsoft account integration with Windows. If you were using a local account, the process is very short. Also, this is good when you don't have an external drive or to keep sharing files between PCs. thanks,
I know they have intentionally done this at 12:56 because they are not so dumb that they would accidentally. ALSO, Microsoft, we are paying or more accurately most of us are paying for your operating system through laptops and pre-builts, still you are serving us Ad. Now, what more do you want from us ............... 100,000 $ for a single Windows license ?
Never use a Microsoft account to log into a computer, always use a local admin/user account. If you use a MS account they can lock your pc for any reason and all your files are gone.
First of all good video but it should have been broken up into two parts. 1. How to file share between computers 2. How to use ROBOCOPY. Question can you use the compression feature to send files from a W11 pc to a W10 pc ?
Thanks for the video. Even though it's slower, I prefer to use the old SyncToy tool. With it I can do partial work and repeat until it's all done. I can preview changes first.
@ 1:35 it's so wrong for them to put ads in file explorer and especially the way they word it "if you want to protect your files you can back them up using our paid for one Drive service" of course with Microsoft wants to put ads on their website that's fine but to put ads inside someone's file manager while trying to get work done it's just wrong..
Window 11 have bad memory management as compared to window 10. You can do same work you was doing with same memory in window 10, i used 8gb ram and If open eclipse and run application all memory occupied your display will start flicker due to memory, but on window 10 that quickly free memory by tranfer it to page file. Always free 1gb memory but window 11 just full your memory and flicker your screen.
