One thing windows 12 should do is remove or change the Xbox game bar as it significantly can have an impact on fps and performance in games. Windows 11 from windows 10 has done lots of new improvements to game modes and optimisation’s for gaming so I’m looking forward to how windows 12 will make its effort.

Control Panel seems like something that is fine as is, they should update the UI, but control panel doesnt contain youre average user experience settings. Besides, theyre already semi integrated, since if you actually need it theyre often linked in the settings page themselves.

I find the control panel easy to use because I've used to it for so long. The current settings is cooked. I can't find most of the stuff i want currently

Would be nicer if they finally ditch it completely, though!! Having 2 settings centres for over 13 years is just nonsense, and M$ doesn't seem to give a сгар about it. Even just removing the panel UI itself and make Settings app autohook 3rd party .cpls. And as for native .cpls, most of them are already integrated (some to the extent of being nothing but redirects to Settings app), and ones that are not are just duplicating the stuff available in the Settings app, commonly giving less or outdated settings that in the latter (meaning, it would make sense to replace them with redirects as well)

Control panel was there since forever, the problem is that now we have a settings window along side it, and they geniusly decided to split settings into both, AND then hide some more in "advanced settings", so you have to spend a LOT of time looking for the setting you need, instead of a few seconds...

yesterday i fired up the old top of the line 11 year old Dell laptop with w7 pro 64b. it only has 36 operating hours on it. it looks so much better than any other op sys version.

I'm not sure Microsoft can make a decent Setting to completely remove the Control Panel. In addition, I see that even the latest builds of Windows 11 still have a lot of things left over from Windows Vista, I mean there are a lot of things that have only been refreshed in the interface, but deep down they are still Vista. I belive that windows 12 will be a hibrid structure, because ARM processors are becoming more faster and efficient than their x86 counterparts, especially on the mobile sector.

Control panel is one thing, many tech peeps including me aren't reading to accept getting messed it. It and cmd and the most easiest way to handle windows, diagonize it and solve it's issues. They way they removed some of the features from control Panel and implemented them in Windows 12 already created a hug backlash hard which stopped many people to move to 11 or use 3rd party apps to modify win 11 into 10/8.

i have tried a few linux distros, and i would recommend EndeavorOS, honestly only linux thats worth using imo, other than that windows is generally the best and macos is fine if u can afford it (mac has crazy battery on laptops tho)

windows 8 was integrated for smartphone use, generally as a bridge to better handheld devices but it was on the pc first...the last phone that Microsoft made was the Surface Duo series, but was discontinued while making the duo 3. Windows 10 could in testing run on the previous Duo phones but not very functional...just a guess but this, "windows 12" could be a mock-up for a revamp of the Duo or Surface Pro

I like your video its very nice, good presentation, but I don't agree on the view on control panel. The control panel is much bettet then the settings, but maybe a mix of both!
