As we are all aware, Windows 11 comes with a ton of bloatware and unnecessary features that we all hate. In this video, we'll be taking a look at the AtlasOS playbook that removes many of these unnecessary features and improves Windows 11.

@6:11, Privacy settings haven't gone, AtlasOS has hidden the settings page using windows registry. This is achieved by researching on how to hide windows 10 or 11 setting pages using windows registry or group policy editor.

seems like he didn't do a research before making this video as what he always did and keep using his assumption over something. if he did a research, there's winaero tweaker and use that app to unhide the privacy setting

@@EroDhika maybe bub hub was unaware that you can hide windows 10/11 settings page URI's via gpo or windows registry.

@@EroDhika Other one to point out is that, some custom windows iso developments claim that, they have stripped 'Windows Update' from the os, when they haven't. 'Windows Update' is so deep into the os, only Microsoft can remove 'Windows Update'. The third party developers of such custom windows installations, use the method mentioned above and hide the 'Windows Update' from the Windows 10/11 settings pages, just to fool us. When hiding the 'Windows Update' setting page from Windows 10/11, 'Windows Update' will still continue to download updates in the background, but you wont be able to see them as the page is hidden.

Please, I do have two questions: 1. Does this require that hardware have TPM 2.0 enabled? 2. Does this still include Windows Defender? Thank you very much in advance.
@casperong6637
@casperong6637 5 месяцев назад
Not very sure about the Defender, however, I do think that you need to have TPM 2.0 enabled as it is installed based on a existing Windows installation.

@@casperong6637 Thank you very much, Casper. I have Windows 10 already installed, and I'm thinking about upgrading to AtlasOS.

1. it doesn't, but since it need you to install the vanilla version of windows 11, you need rufus to bypass the tpm 2.0 requirement for installing the vanilla version of windows 11 before applying the atlas playbook. later, if you install app or game like valorant, better to go back to windows 10 since tpm requirement that valorant need is a must. 2. the playbook come with an option that you can choose, enable or disable the defender.

@@elyzsabethahne2116 You probably would be much better off upgrading to Windows 10 LTSC.

@@teknixstuff Getting a legitimate product key to activate Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 (LTSB)/2019 (LTSC)/2021 (LSTC) is not cheap, I mean far more expensive when compared to Windows 10 Pro/Home. In my experience, Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 (LTSB)/2019 (LTSC)/2021 (LSTC) has less gaming compatibility than your typical Windows 10 Pro/Home as Enterprise LTSB/LTSC is geared more towards IoT (Internet of Things) devices that solely focus on security over features. In conclusion, if you want to play games and have better os compatibility, go for Windows 10 Pro (Pro edition, in my option is the full version of windows, where as Home edition is the core version of Windows) or if you don't care about features or in other words favour security more, then Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 (LTSB)/2019 (LTSC)/2021 (LSTC) is fine, however will mention this again, getting a legitimate product key to activate Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 (LTSB)/2019 (LTSC)/2021 (LSTC) is not cheap. There are unofficial methods of getting Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 (LTSB)/2019 (LTSC)/2021 (LSTC) activated, however they are deemed as unsafe, due to the nature of the activation process. PS if you are somebody who is searching around ways to debloat windows, you can either use A: Chris Titus Tech's winutil to debloat your install, or B: research into creating your own debloated windows iso with tools like NTLite, MSMG_Toolkit.

You said Tiny 11 is not useable, I beg to disagree, having run Tiny10 and 11 for 1 year now as a daily driver, not even single crash/freeze for 3rd gen i3 laptop (Tiny10) and Intel n95 (Tiny11). Btw, having also tested Xlite for awhile and it worked fine, see no difference in performance. Stick to Tiny10/11 as the interface is the same as the original. Before installing Tiny10/11, loading takes forever to load, shut down also takes ages (personal feeling), once installed Tiny10/11, both issues disappear, fast and painless.

I use atlas, it’s basically a simple debloat. People get triggered about defender which is now not recommended to be disabled, but if you’re not a moron you can run windows without defender or UAC

It still has the bad start menu but also removed some good Windows 11 Features. Not really my piece of cake.
