About 7yrs ago while adding a larger HDD in my computer there was an unexpected power surge, and I only had 1 HDD on the system. I lost 10yrs of family pictures and important documents, scanned papers, and favorite website shortcuts. And at the time I didn't know about data recovery software. After that 1 painful experience I never built a computer with ONLY 1 HDD/SSD/NVME. And I have built dozens and dozens of PC's for family and friends since then. I learned a lil redundancy is valuable and necessary in the PC realm!!
