Trying to delete or modify files, but getting a TrustedInstaller error? Can't delete old Windows files? Well, this video covers both of those topics, and it should be fixed in no time!

Same. In my case there was a virus on the old install of the operating system. Me and my tecnician got rid of it on the main drive and did a fresh install. But there's still some spooky shit going on.

You need to be logged in as administrator. User account needs administrator permission.

Right Click the C: Drive Icon, then Click Properties > Disc Cleanup > Clean up System Files (You will need Administrator Permission to do this)

Few problems still there, Unable to delete all the files inside program files folder and files that are deleted through this method are still somehow consuming same amount of data in drive even after cleaning recycle bin

Excellent! I had a winresume.exe error and was trying to replace the bad file with a good file from another PC. Let's hope this will boot properly now.

It didn't work for me on a windows 11 laptop here in England. This trusted installer will NOT allow me to take ownership, I almost corrupted my system today and I have been trying fristratingly for 5 months to remove this shit.

Thank you so very much. Windows gets harder and harder to deal with every year - not allowing us to make our computer our own! I don't want an ap - I want a computer to do my work and I hate that they try to have complete control over what work I can do and what work I can't do because their system won't let me. This doesn't work for me. When i click "take ownership" a cmd message pops up, but it doesn't open the prompt and doesn't give me ownership. It just doesn't work

@@laurenbrown5164 Nope, had to buy a whole new SSD. Mine just really wasn't going anywhere, tried it with some people who literally do this for work and school, but none could do anything. I installed a new SSD and it's working fine again. I'm sending this from the laptop :). Really a shame, but there didn't seem to be another solution. Microsoft didn't know, experts didn't know, and the internet didn't know. Tried so many things for almost 2 months, then I really needed it back for my income, so just had to buy a new SSD.

@@TroubleChute Well, no ONE is found - have to put oneself out there (former NYC model - too shy however and sang Berklee College of Jazz, studied Opera AND took classes in jingles so on.) One has to be able to SIGHT read in an instance - the competition is TOUGH and PRO, then put together the files what ever and go to companies and try to access them to hear your recordings.
