Actually, it sounds like Windows 2000 Beta 3's first builds used Windows NT 5.0's shutdown sound you used in this video as its startup sound. And its shutdown sound? I think it is a scary sound.
Whistler builds 2267----->2416 (4:52----->5:04),build 2419 (not in this video),builds 2428------------>2469 (5:17----->5:30) and XP builds 2474 and 2475 have 2000 sounds, Whistler Server later Beta 2 and .NET Server Beta 3 RC1 and RC2 have I think XP sounds
I'm so glad I grew up in the 90's. The time of constant computer growth. God damn hearing those sounds brings me back to a time of joy and cheap everything. I would give all to go back and live that life again..
How come no one plays the Windows 98 shutdown Tada, it sounded like the earlier ones except more stronger in tone. I swear it's amazing how somethings get lost over time.
You forgot to say that the first beta of Windows Whistler has the Windows 2000 format. A problem is that the Windows Longhorn Shutdown has some modem sounds.
i have this vista sound pack for my xp computer and it has like a lady going "aaaaaahhh" for most things, and it comes with its on msn messenger sound pack as well

Lol. I set my background wallpaper and logon screen background to a random image that I found. 8:28 I saw this and I was like "Wait, this is my wallpaper." I didn't even realize that the wallpaper I took was actually made by Microsoft. :o
*after 1:22 minutes of ta da's and chimes* I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE! *windows 94 O_O saves the day* THANK YOU!!! :D *hears tada again* NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
0:30 This OS is fake. It never existed. There was a project made during Windows 95's development codenamed "Cougar" but it was not an OS. "Cougar" was actually the codename for VMM32.vxd which is a file for the 32-bit kernel. 0:33 The boot screen you see here is fake. 0:44 Windows NT 3.11 is fake. 1:01-1:17 Chicago used tadas as startup and shutdown sounds. 1:09 The bootscreen you see here is fake. 1:18 Windows 94 is a fake OS. There may however be a Windows 94 .iso file you might be able to find but that would be a modified version of Chicago that looks and sounds like Windows 95. 1:47 Windows 96 is not an OS and this boot screen is fake. Windows 96 is actually a thing but it's just another name for a modified version of Windows 95 OSR 2 THAT WAS made by Microsoft. There is a Windows 96 .iso that you can find online but that .iso is fake and was not made by Microsoft. It was just a modified Windows 95 made by someone else. 2:17 The sounds used here are incorrect. Memphis didn't use Windows 98 sounds until much later on. Memphis used 95 sounds. 2:20 Windows 97 is a fake OS. There may however be a Windows 97 .iso file you might be able to find but that would be a modified version of Memphis that looks like Memphis and sounds like Windows 98. 2:22-2:28 The shutdown sound used here is incorrect (startup sound is correct through). Windows 98 Beta 2.1 and Beta 3 used low pitched version of Windows 98 shutdown. 2:38 Windows 99 is not an OS and this boot screen is fake. Windows 99 is actually a thing but it's just another name for a modified version of Windows 98 Second Edition THAT WAS made by Microsoft. There is a Windows 99 .iso that you can find online but that .iso is fake and was not made by Microsoft. It was just a modified Windows 98 made by someone else. 2:40-3:16 Windows NT 5.0 was a real project in development at the time which later on became known as Windows 2000. The shutdown sound used here is incorrect (startup sound is correct through). Windows NT 5.0 actually used the Windows NT 4.0 shutdown sound. 3:11 NT 5.0 was a real project that later on became Windows 2000 but EUR Edition is fake. Windows EUR Group is not affiliated with Microsoft at all. 3:12 The boot screen you see here is fake. 3:25 These sounds you heard are incorrect. Windows 2000 Beta 3 used fake NT 5.0 shutdown sound and unknown sound in builds 1946-1969 and NT 5.0 EUR Edition (which is fake) startup and shutdown sounds in builds 1983-2000. Windows 2000 Professional beta 3 builds 1983-2000 used same bootscreen like RTM version. 3:36 This OS is unofficial, meaning it was never created by Microsoft. It is a modified version of Windows 2000 created by someone else. You can actually download it and use it but it is not an official OS from Microsoft. 3:52 Neptune was a OS is development that was later on cancelled and never officially released to the public. This version of Neptune is fake because Neptune was intended for home use only. Most homes don't run servers and servers are usually for business use. The only build that ever leaked for Neptune was just called "Neptune". No edition was ever made. 3:55 Windows Powered is not an OS and this boot screen is fake. Windows Powered is actually a thing but it's just another name for a modified version of Windows 2000 Advanced Server THAT WAS made by Microsoft. There is a Windows Powered .iso that you can find online but that .iso is fake and was not made by Microsoft. It was just a modified Windows 2000 made by someone else. 4:05 Odyssey was going to be an OS planned to be released with Neptune (Neptune and Odyssey were cancelled and combined into Windows XP). The startup sound is actually Windows 98's logoff sound reversed, level up sound from a Microsoft Entertainment Pack game and Windows 2000 Beta 3 builds 1983-2000 startop sound reversed. Whistler used ME/2000 sounds up to build 2481 (2485 was first build to incluse Windows XP sounds). 5:05 Trident is a fake OS. There may however be a Trident .iso file you might be able to find but that would be a modified version of Windows 2000 that looks and sounds like Trident. 5:31 This is Whistler Advanced Server Beta 3 build 2493 which was real.
