He got lucky that the system restore point worked, I have had a lot of times where it doesn't work.

For reference the restore point isn’t your only option in this situation. If one is not present you can manually repair the BCD from command prompt with the USB.

@@slist436 you can dual boot. Use windows when you want to play valorant, but when this happens, you still have a fully functional computer.
