Windshield Washer Pump Replacement 

sent this video to my girl, her washer pump craped out. I ordered the parts months ago just havent driven the car much and wasnt thinking bout it. Well our other car is down for now and she is back in the ol reliable saturn. Seemed like an easy project for her to do. Whelp our saturn apparently started its life as CARB compliant because it has the stupid pump system. and the resovior like hooks down underneath it into the frame and is a complete PIA to get out.

Richpin, I just wanted to give a big belated THANK YOU for these s-series videos you did. Really helps on mundane things like this. Sure, I can turbo, nitrous and rebuild these engines but would you believe when it comes to washer pumps...I'm lost and don't want to break a pump or reservoir that might have gone the way of the dinosaur by now! Not big on diagnostics but I've used your a/c diags on these cars to help my mother in law. In her case, you could see where the pag oil had flung out on to the radiator hose but I went over there with multimeter in hand to use your diags on checks for it. Thanks again!!

For the 2001 series, access to pump is through the wheel well. Remove the wheel; the liner is held in by 3 screws and a bunch of push-lock retainers. I lost a bit of time trying to take the tank out through the top.

The last of these RC fishing boat has finally been sold. There will no more of these boats made by the builder. Tried to acquire a market but non of the fishmen could apprehend the abality of the actual reel not only being able to reel in a fish by remote control but could tighten or loosen the reel drag by RC.

I already replaced the nozzles. Clean the T and hose from one side to another. But still not spraying good. Do you think its the pump?

How do you replace the actual washer switch that is attached to the steering column?

I am not sure as i have not seen a Yaris in a long time.

MY problem is, I have a replaced motor and reservoir but no fluid is coming up and no sounds made to indicate it is working. Everything tests great! I may have a bad washer switch...(sigh)...but I don't see any videos on that issue.

The first thing i would do is see if you are getting voltage at the motor.

No I am using windshield washer pumps in my remote control fishing boats for water cooling the motors and bilge pumps. Would like to replace worn out impellers. The pump motors are ok but the rubber impellers don'tast long. Wher can I get these small impellers?????

I had to do this on my Grand Am and it was -10. The reservior was under the bumper. However, the pump went in the same way. 5 *

The key must be to install the rubber grommet first, before inserting the pump into the reservoir. Hmmm

There is a separate washer pump for the back.

9 times out of ten its your filter, either on the pump itself or usaly on the bottle

There must be a source to buy windshield pump impellars for worn out ones???? Some body must have gotton them.

When putting the grommet back in the reservoir one would think that wd40 being used would cause a oily or greasy film on the windshield

Would this be the same method on a 1996 Lexus ES300?
