Thought maybe you sailed off the edge of the world or something never to be heard from again... Oh nooo!! Glad to see you're still on the planet and back out there!
Still at it, just has not been very windy on the weekends when I am off work. Weird. The fronts don’t seem as strong yet this windy season either. Thanks for watching and chatting as always!
@@gusthunter8780 Yeah, somebody's definitely playing with the weather buttons up there lately. It's been a pleasure to ride along with you on your videos Jake because it gives me a few minutes of sanity in a world gone mad! Thx for posting as always and one of these days sooner than later I'm going to join you out there! ☮
Nice! You are riding in Jan. and I'm freezing here up north! Ha! The "Dry" jibe looks great. So close to keep it planing! Lots of speed on entry and flipping the sail not too late will get you there. Ezzy sails maybe not the fastest freeride sails but it surely has one of the cleanest and most stable profile out there. Such a pleasure to ride!
I did have one of my best jibes ever that session but didn’t have the camera going. Flip with enough speed to hookin and stepped right into the straps to plane away after just losing the plane. Felt great! Love watching your jibes! I will keep at it for sure. Thanks!
I had the best jibe ever that session but no video. I flipped the rig, hooked back in, and right into the foot straps. I didn’t skew up into the wind and slow way down. Keep replaying it in my mind LOL.
A favorite for sure! I have had 2 of them. Easy to rig, takes a beating. My other sail are Severne and monofilm and are super sails but not as durable. I have a couple Goya Mark X Pros and they are right there with the Ezzy Cheetah too in my opinion. My next Ezzy will probably be a 8.5 Lion.
@@gusthunter8780 if you buy the 8.5 I'll watch to see how you find it in terms of stability being a 2 cam! Mine is a 6.0 2023 cheetah, what do you think about the wind range? I've heard that it's very wide, I am 85kg and I look forward to using it in 20/24kt wind
@@loskiff Will do on the Lion. I have 2 Severne Turbos that are 2 cam, 9.2 and 8.1. I really like them, but miss the durability of Ezzy. And yes the Ezzy has a good range in the downhaul and sail response to it for a pretty good range. I am like 105kg so I would not have good perspective of a 6.0 at your weight in those winds. You will love that sail!
