Brunello di Montalcino is one of Italy’s best-known and most respected wine regions. There were only about 25 producers here when the DOC was officially recognized in 1967, but one of those pioneers had already been at it since 1892.
Wine Spectator’s No. 2 Wine of 2022 is Fattoria dei Barbi Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2016.
