Wineberries - Jam Recipe, Identification, and Harvesting
We found a nice patch of wineberries in northern Maryland recently. We give tips on locating and identifying these sweet berries, and make a yummy wineberry jam.
For this recipe we used 3/4 c sugar per 1c strained berries.
You can add a bit of lemon juice if you wish.
Adding some seeds back in is optional, just remember the wineberries are very seedy and a little bit of seeds goes a long way!
Always do research and check several sources before consuming any wild plants.
