@@asesyanarthur82 Calm down, pilgrim, You don't know much about martial arts. It is not enough for a person who is weak and without muscle strength to make defensive movements work on the street like a in video. And not only these defensive moves will be so effective either. But if you are a person who is in good condition and does muscle strength training and you practice boxing a lot and you also do defensive moves in this way, then it will be of great benefit to you.
@@artnews9106 ahahah ok first im calm in 100% second watch your language when youre talking to someone you dont know i was in army special forces in my country many years i know how to fight how to defence yourself and most important how to kill dont you say smart ass things that have nothing with reality belive me i killed a lot of people in fist fight and belive me this shit doesnt gonna work budy now stop talking stupid shit and go put your ass in cold water
@@imnothereforthefood7832 lol Thats hilarious. Imagine he masters this with knife-finger tips of something, he could beat every pro fighter in the world 😂😂😂
Not even that. Why does the guys right hand stay below his left? Its not even "trapped." 😆 also hes essentially just repeatedly slapping his hand which for some reason he is just leaving there. This is how you fight some9ne with parkinsons
@@tilly3702 it’s hard to know without context but it’s a really basic form of martial arts and probably one of the least known because it’s not as good as others but still decent. The reason it looks like goofy slapping is because you’re supposed to close your fist last second, but there would be no point as the guy is clearly new and punching him in the throat would do no good😂 better off learning Muay Thai or a form of boxing.
@@sirbenedict6635 no the dude who is taking the sissy slaps, could literally move his right arm out from underneath his left arm at any point after its slapped down initially. It looks goofy because no one would just stand there and let you switch between slapping their throat and slapping your wrist a bunch of times. They'd probably just step back
@@tilly3702 and nobody is gunna stand there and let you do any martial arts move on them in a real scenario but that’s how you learn. Out of all the arguments you could make against the form that was the most brain dead shi you coulda said. If you tried grappling that old dude I guarantee you he would sock you before you blinked.
Yeah but the point is that this is all wing Chun is. Weak innective attack and blocks. I could knock this guy out by just punching full force at his face I wouldn't even need any martial art. You can't limp wristedly block punches it will only make it so you get your hand broken at the same time as your head
@@stephanosuk78it would still hurt to. And if done correctly, hits on the chin can literally be deadly due to the kinetic energy traveling from the chin to the upper side of the skull, then reaching the weakest part of the brain. Located in the upper lateral regions of the face.
@@magykdj9865 News flash get hit hurts, wow. Tell you what genius I'll keep my chin down when I do it and you leave your neck exposed to protect your skull and jaw... Jesus, people will literally argue anything on here won't they.
Wing Chun is a dual Knife Based Martial art, the reason it looks silly to you is probably because there are no knives in this demonstration. The trapping isn't meant to match up against a jabbing or stabbing motion, but a slashing motion, that's also why you see the funky looking wrist play. You see paddy cake. I see the newbie getting both wrists slashed and is throat shredded.
@@mr.yeast5billion910 Firstly,if someone attacked you with knives, it would be silly to let them get so close, keep standing where you are exposing your entire body to the attack, and not move to evade the knives. Secondly, nobody walks around with a knife in each hand in case they get attacked. But that aside, I aiso see slashed wrusts and throat. But why doesn't the attacker do anything to defend his throat? Well ok its practice.
@@YouD0ntSay they clearly aren't of the same skill level, guy on the left is teaching a noobie, and wingchun has a shuffle step like foot work similar to boxing, allowing one to close the distance pretty quickly. This martial art was invented by a shaolin nun, and popularized by assasins. Of course you're not walking around with two knives, because you're not an assassin in the Qin Dynasty. That being said, say you live in that world, what on earth are you gonna do against this? It traps spears, swords, daggers, bucklers, there's a method of whip defense even. "But range" Thats why you have two knives, trap with one, close distance with the other. If you can't imagine how that would work idk what to tell you. Even the hand to hand style is brutal at the highest level (the same level say Khabib or buakaw or tyson were at). In a street fight you could expect one that's skilled in Wing chun, like Bruce lee, the father of mixed martial arts, to go for the eyes with a knife hand while simultaneously throwing a groin kick, like he did, against a genuine warrior monk, in a rela fight, googlable. You're watching the sport version of something that is designed to kill, relax, not everything is blunt force to the face and bloody broken noses.
@@panhandlenev only you is saying that... we said you can’t fight like that with real mma fighters. Are you not understanding what we said? That stands will not be able to handle a real boxer with mma skills. I don’t believe that kind of skills will be used in real fight. You can see a lot of kung flu master black belt getting smoke by mma fighters.
Amazing speed. It's just a demonstration of speed and trapping while hitting with both hands, keeping the trap in tact. It's not that complex. But this comment thread is a perfect example of people who are too narrow minded to understand anything that isn't MMA. Nothing wrong with MMA at all. But, some of these people commenting are judging something with no insight or knowledge of the video, the instructor, the lesson being taught, etc. Some people unfortunately need to be shown the hard way whether something works or not... Shame.... Keep it up Sifu Fong.
The problem with your statement is that MMA isn't a thing it's simply what we call the competition. In reality that which encompasses MMA is all fighting styles, there is yet to be a wing Chun fighter in the UFC and there never will be because this art form is a scam. There is real hand trapping in boxing/kickboxing/Muay Thai. Look up a Muay Thai long guard if you want to see someone successfully use hand trapping IN A REAL FIGHT. Purpose of specific demonstration aside, there isn't a single technique in wing Chun you could use effectively on a consistent basis in real combat
@@levimaynard2237 Bro. The guy totally dismantled your bullshit comment with strong arguments and all you can say is "no u wrong"? Pinch yourself every now and then, It might help as a reality check.
@@DankSwegSkuxxXhayel these are the facts. Tested and true. There's a reason Muay Thai is integral to mma, there's a reason boxing is integral to mma, BJJ, Grappling... all are effective and proven through competition. Not gimmicks.
Just to remind you all, he's just demonstrating a technique. He never claimed that this could help you in a real life scenario. All of you need to calm tf down lmao
Or hit with a fast open hand strike to the throat, which will drop any opponent regardless of their size or strength. A punch to the mouth will rarely do that, because the vast majority of people don't hit anywhere near as powerfully as Mike Tyson did in his prime.
What many don't understand is these trapping techniques are very effective in a verbal confrontation that starts to escalate to a physical attack. These typically start at close quarters such as a social gathering or a line in a grocery store. To onlookers, the trapping techniques clearly signal the defender is not the aggressor and can clear one of legal charges. The hostile person's arms can be trapped before their intended attack can be completed and an effective counter blow can be launched.... In these close-quarter- situations squaring-off to an MMA/boxing stance or launching a round house kick is not the effective tactic. In contrast, if a hostile person approaches in the wider area such as in a parking lot. Then the MMA/boxing stance tactics have their effectiveness.
the problem is that it takes 3 years of training to get to this level. that's 3 yrs that could've been spent learning more effective martial arts. Bruce lee never even finished learning the whole Wing Chun curriculum, and he was doing it for 3-4 yrs
exactly right my good sir. wing chun is more close quarter, so busting that out would be a prefered choice in a store or any where tightly spaced, and you dont wana be paying for the stuff you knock over, so have a good balanse in wing chun to controll your opponent, deffinetly use hooks, because they are natural. Trapping requires skill, and you need to have good balence in striking and blocking to be good at trapping.
Actually yes because many little strikes overload the nervous system. Wing chun literally will make you forget your arms. You go limp and them boom elbow to nose
Ah yes the slap, a highly dangerous technique which makes your muscles go limp and the wing chun user loses his tooth after a real fighter shows up and socks him in the face.
Ahh yea the ancient technique of wing Chung it’s quite dangerous, to use cause that shut don’t work in real fight. Sun tzu the art of war said no thy self and thy enemy and don’t use wing chung ever in battle field
Yeah... I do wing chun and actuality spar. But the thing is trapping doesn't really work this way. In fact I don't know why the partner is just going with it. There no resistance or any of that stuff
He also studied with Dan Inosanto, teaches Muay Thai, Jeet kun do, bjj, kali, and grew up in Hong Kong where he said they fought every day. He started out in tkd and judo, earned black belts in both, then learned and switched to Wing Chun under a student of Yip Man. He has trained both policemen and instructors of the US army. From that he learned shooting and became an ìnstructor.
Y'all need to relax that old man would beat ever living shit out of all y'all this is a demonstration he is not gonna straight karate chop his student in the throat
I think I also saw a finger strike in there, which is even more dangerous. The Sifu also trained in a bunch of other martial arts, if the people in these comments watched his demonstrations they would see that it is not raw Wing Chun. What the Sifu is doing here is just a trapping demonstration and they always do it without a stance in Wing Chun I think, but actual fights involve stance.
Take the center of the opponent and 5 strikes on the throat with 5 arm control in the same time in 2 secondes. First, the work is static to focus on the hand work Second step of the work is to do it in different foot work situation.
@@lulumire Step 3: watch yourself getting knocked out while attempting this bullshit in a real fight. There isn't 1 single damn video in the internet of a street fight (or any other real fight) where wing chun was used and was effective. However there are tons of videos were you can see people like that getting their ass beat. Answer me my?
Imagine how hard it is to do moves this fast without actually hurting the person. Very high level martial art demonstration. That muscle control in insane, I can totally understand why many people don't get it.
Do people in the comments not realize wing chun is mostly banned in ufc because its moves target the eyes and throat and is designed to tear tendons in your legs its not a slap fight😂😂😂
The thing about wing chun is that they usually don't spar with the techniques. But when they do spar, they change up some moves to make it work. In one video I saw, the wing chun dude doesn't use the hand slapping thing at all against a Muay Thai dude
I love how everyone knows how to defend themselves and fighting so well in the comments. Keyboard warriors never have respect but are really respectful when met with real world consequence.
