Another good tutorial. When riding toe side, the back hand feels quite intuitive (in/out, more/less power) but it's the front hand that took time to dial in, especially when trying to get upwind.
Yes, leaning windward does help a lot to add to stability--I had to learn that the hard way. I've really been emphasizing toeside riding in my last few sessions. Initially it feels very wrong but it's the cornerstone to jibes and tacks so can't be avoided. Happily, it's starting to feel natural. One thing that helped my muscle memory is just taxiing toeside. It's something I try to practice when the wind is too light to foil.
@@kitesurfcollege Thanks for all the insightful videos! It's a challenging sport to learn, let alone master. Having these essential, bite-sized skills to work on helps reduce some of the frustration.
Thanks very much, good advice. I’ve come from yrs of windsurfing and 10 hrs in to wing/foil use I’m struggling as soon as I head nr toeside it’s just so alien to me. I’m off to give your advice some attempts. Where do you sail/ shoot your vids? Looks like a great location. 👍
