I've yet to be on a foil, but I'm visualizing it, and this video has helped that.

How big are you Allan? And long (how many sessions) did it take you to wing with a small board (low volume)? Cheers for that video. I like it way more than the funky edited ones.
Thanks, 140 lbs. I started wing foiling on my sup foil board, 83 liters, the fall 2018. I only recently got the small board from Flyingdutchman808. I came to the sport with foiling experience. The wind has to be at least 15 knots for me to ride that set up.
Any chance you can share a video of you doing this same type of waterstart from another person's perspective? Does appear most of that lift is coming from the powered wing, or you can single leg squat from a fully flexed position no problem!
Thanks for sharing these great winging videos! What are you using for the front footstrap? It looks lightweight and easy to use from either side if you switch your stance in transitions.
I made it out of webbing and deck pad. I folded the webbing in half to double it up then sewed it. I use contact cement to glue the same deck pad around the webbing. Then used a hot nail to burn hole for the screws. I used the "stick on" type inserts after I rode the board a few time to get the placement right. I have never had the stick on type fail although I don't jump. I made the strap long so I could move my foot for and aft depending on speed.
