Thank you very much for providing such a great resource for learning WingTsun! I am learning from your videos since approx. one year and I really value your detailed explanations. (I am practicing WingTsun since nine years.) Wishing you all the best!
Leung Ting changed his Chia Sao sets over the years. What I learned 30 year ago was much different. It is now better, more comprehensive, and more didactic.
Same 1st section I learned when I trained under my first Sifu, this way as far as I've been taught came from the EWTO from Sifu Kernspecht. My current Sifu who trained directly under Sigung Leung Ting teaches differently. Most of the differences I've noticed are the European way vs the HK way. I'm sure there will be plenty of variances just within the EWTO branches and same from the Hong Kong branches but the variances I've seen are usually just from the changes made by EWTO. Both great, EWTO is very structured curriculum business based setup like academic schools taught pretty similarly all around from what I've seen at least and The HK way not so structured and not so much stuff held back learned things at a faster rate imo.
Not really. Of course you can come up with all sorts of variations, but the point of the sections is to build basic reflexes, to react to attacks from different angles and arm positions in beneficial ways without stopping to think. Most variations are already covered in 1 to 7 or the Biu Tze sections, and putting them into each other is just inefficient and confusing.
