This is victor in the process of coming up with wing revolution. I really like this stage of his wing tsun. Cause it's like wing revolution just with more wing tsun and he still uses the wing tsun footwork.
@NRock2404 to be honest I think it shows a more modern way of wing chun, and adapted one, since it was made to counter martial arts that people don't use anymore. I see it as a wingchun form adapted to the new arts (including boxing, much more common nowadays) and how to counter them, making it a really good adaptation and evolution of an art.

Imagine it more as a demo and not so much as an instructional video. He developed branch of effective street styles that sub-branch from Wing Tsun. Students learn it in Wing Tsun classes now. Thats what I like about WT aswell, it is beeing constantly improved.

Dice un viejo refrán chino Hay grandes sistemas en todo el mundo, y grandes atletas, yo amo el UFC, me gusta mucho el Mua Thai, el Kick Boxing, el Judo, el Boxeo, el Kali, etc. Del wing Shun me gusta, que es un concepto marcial que agrupa en un solo espacio tiempo los tres fundamentos más importantes de las artes marciales. No ha parado de evolucionar constantemente. Es todo.
Yo hice Karate durante 10 años y la verdad es que me gustó bastante (mi padre es sensei). Después hice Aikido y como defensa personal es una pasada pero terminé molido con las muñecas "bonicas del todo". Ahora después de 8 años sin prácticar ningún arte marcial, me encantaría practicar Wing Tsun (desde pequeño me tragué todas las peliculas de Bruce Lee xD) y ésto viene porque vi Ip Man, la historia del maestro de Bruce Lee y donde vivo, no se donde hay una escuela para aprender D: ¡Saludos!

Victor no tiene que demostrar nada a nadie. Es un gran experto, nadie deberia dudarlo. Ahora bien, si davichuu o davi-chuu o da-vi-ch-uu (aun no me aclaro) no entreno lo suficiente y le ostiaron que se huviera aplicado mas. Tengo compañeros de wt campeones de Europa, expertos en judo, algun karateca, dos que hacen vale tudo etc y dicen que wt funciona.. no se ¿igual se lo inventaron? Lo dudo a horrores

no, this is just WT applications from that old wooden dummy VHS but with all the explanations cut out. A lot of the stuff in this vid is pretty blatantly from chum kiu and biu tze forms (0:25 lol ppl don't know lan sao + lifting punch when they see it?)

He conocido a grandes maestros en diferentes disciplinas que han consagrado su vida a las artes marciales, y todos entienden que es un gran estilo de Kung Fu, con alto carácter científico. Es muy distinto un combate en la calle, que un evento deportivo.

este video no es mas q una pequeña demostracion de algunos golpes, nada mas, solo eso. El wing tsun es muy efectivo y practico. Esto sirve mas q nada como introduccion para q se vea bien como lo hace. No hace falta insultar po ahi...
hes not saying the moves he is using is bad, hes saying his technique while doing those beginner moves are horrible. if a master cant even do the beginner moves with proper technique then THAT is bad. please dont call ppl morons when you were the one who didnt read the comment properly

Esto no quiere decir que yo le quiera faltar el respeto a nadie. Respeto mucho a cualquier profesional de la materia, y mas a los que tienen el valor de competir con los mejores atletas del Mundo en el UFC. Todos los estilos tienen ventajas y desventajas, pero todos han aportado a la evolucion de las artes marciales.

His attackers are literally opening themselves up and saying "hey, i'm open, hit me in the face and balls". Come on, for one, people who do other styles don't even attack like that. Usually the attacker has his guard up until the point of impact and then he pushes you back with his series of attacks or body. So, this demonstration shows "if" the attacker left his guard open.
@stephenrobertrae watch the open chi sao videos to see Victor in action. Certainly this is only a demonstration Vid, application only comes with training AND real world use. But watch his chi sao Vids and you will see how brutal VG can be against actual fighters.

You are correct, that I am learining difirent style, and you are not correct that I am afraid leave home after 8pm, but good try for a joke... Maybe during EWTO brainwashing could be funny. I lernt wing tsun with EWTO and after I changed school due to my moving to new job. In my new school (but for now almost 2 years old) I have learnt real wing chun and with this style I am more selfconfidence than with EWTO. And I saw chalange of my sifu to one EWTO instructor... EWTO instructor was scared...
2nd set of movements: -1st pak was weak, that punch could've slipped right in, n he wasnt even punching all the way to the target. -2nd, bong, his structure raises and leans = bad. Elbow looks pretty sweet as he recovers his structure at the same time as landing it. Overall: Lame pak saus all over the place.

@ghettoaga..idon't think it is a good idea to say that WT is better than this or that style. It is the basic law for an intelligent fighter never to underestimate other Style. I agree that WT or WC concepts understood correctly can be very usefull. I know for a fact that the good ones in EWTO are the ones who can think for themself. Sadly there are many EWTO guys who only get spoonfed with with ideas and never think for them self. It is due to the size of the Organisation.

and anyway, what do you expect to see? broken bones and blood splatter, so it is more "realistic"?? this is an instructional video not some kind of splatter movie...
Well I can only repeat what I already said: Chill out dude, get a life. If you don't like it fine, but try to be better instead of bitching around. I don't agree with everything Leung Ting or Kernspecht say either, nor with what anyone else in the Kung Fu world does, but I think we should all have some respect for people who make this their life AND pass it on to others... just my opinion of course.
Poorly for knowledge for you to use in your quest for martial arts. The 'stance' is not meant for fighting, it is a method to teach, protection of the groin, basics for foot work and isometric training the strengthen of the legs.
Im with EtonSmegma! I also watched a lot of these clips to find any realisme in the demonstration. All i saw is when you do this ill do that...but even then I see openings that R dangerous in a real fight. What i wanna say is...If you think that you can stand and punch like that in a real street fight with a mean street fighter...well then you got it wrong and you WILL BE punched in the face!!
@constableman Martialarts in generel can only attempt to approach realistic fight situation. You can't expect people to break their bones and noses every week just to train to avoid it. That would be very stupid. That is why such demonstrationvideos can never show realfight. Show me one video in youtube which shows that kind of video. btw i spared with this guy. He is good. better than in this outdated video
and who in your opinion Mr Oliebolli knows "real" WingTsun? I am so tired of everyones infighting over who is the realdeal in WT, can't we just accept and honour the teachers who dedicate most of their lives to the art and stop bitching around??? Especially since most of those negative comments coem from people who are low level students themselves (if that)!?
And my last note directly to EWTO style: their base stance is really funny... I think that with this stance during hard attack you fall down on the ground!!! Did you ever see stands like this let say in K1 or MMA fighting which I consider as etalon of fight efectivity??? No!!! Why??? Because with EWTO base stance cannot win any real fight!!!
el wt tan solo sirve cuando el otro adversario es más débil que tu, y no sabe artes marciales. Y lo digo porque lo he practicado, y una vez vi a mi instructor (con un montón de títulos y grados, y su foto en las revistas) caer en menos de cinco segundos contra un 1ºDan competidor de judo que aguantó sus golpes, le cogió y le lanzó fuera del tatami. sí, sí, de Judo. El tomaquetoma del que depende el wt no sirve de nada si el adversario sabe recibir. Hace cosquillas.
While this is recognizable as Wing Tsun, it's really quite a poor representation. Definitely not up to standard for a "master." Technique is quite sloppy and the supposed result of his attacks is WAY out of proportion for the kind of power he would produce with such poor technique. Just my opinion, I'm sure many people could disagree.
