@@belchmelch oh most definitely! I'm a drummer so I've played many winger songs over the years! Fun stuff! My bass player actually got to go on stage and play with Winger live in Wisconsin!
This band finally got its just desserts. So made fun of back in the '90 period, then grunge wiped 'em out. Got to see them last year in St. Charles, IL. Great freakin' show. Love that they are still around and sounding so good.
Always loved this band, regardless of what any so-called critics or experts said about them... Just a damn shame they got lumped in with a lot of the other losers of the hair metal end in '91 or '92.... All first-class musicians, like Kip Winger and Reb Beach (who was terribly underrated as a guitarist), and still slingin' it along all these years later! Good on them! 🤘🤘
I always say that if you see these guys live and you’re NOT impressed then you are dead inside and probably need to reevaluate your poor life choices. Oh and thank you for posting this!! Great job!
I think you may have made poor life choices and may be dead Inside if you seriously think that. Endless you’re 40+ than respect for staying up so late to watch this 😴
It hurts to see musicians playing the same song for this many years. Its not that they should feel washed up. But write an album and get creative again.... as I said. They are washed up and should play local pubs instead of trying to feel the glam again
Ironically, they put out a new album in May of 2023. It’s called Seven and I highly recommend that you check it out. I believe that the reason that bands of this era play the same songs repeatedly is because that’s what their demographic wants. It’s nostalgia. . My original comment was intended exaggeration and was meant to express my admiration for such profound talent in what sometimes feels like a very high tech soulless society. But then again, it’s not that deep. Have a nice weekend 😊
Ive seen winger full band live..kip and reb acoustic and kip acoustic by his self ..man i watched this show and damn they are on fire..sound fuckin killer ..kip is killin it ..
Thanks Andrew, you earned a new sub for sharing all these great shows with us that aren't with you on MORC but wish we were. Winger has received a lot of unwarranted flack over the years but there's a lot of talent on that stage. Reb seems to be having a great time. They all do but not sure if I've seen Reb having this much fun. Kip is an incredible musician. I even like his classic material. He can still pull in the women too! Ha., I mean look at the front row! He plays into it too. Guys, if you wanna meet women, go to a Winger show. I even joke with my husband when Kip comes on. Yep, sexy Kip. 😉Anyhow, thanks for rocking with us Andrew. It's appreciated. Great way to finish the cruise.
Great musicians, but not sure about exhausting your drummer before the show starts. First time I saw a drummer do a full blown drum solo before the show.
Winger always sounding great and no matter how jacked Reb Beach is they always playing everything note for note and not straying far from original song if not at all. And that's good thing.
After 35 years these guys still tare it up and rock their asses off. There are bands out there this old that wish they could still do what Winger does. They have just been served lessons.
@@fernandes5986 they aren’t They are whiny women remember their crying during the Napster days? Oh no are fans are getting our music for free Wah wah wah 😭 - Lars ulrich Probably why he enjoys the drums it’s his temper tantrum play set 🤪
Great show recording very well done ! Winger never gives a Bad show. I have seen them several times always Top notch and they always seem to enjoy themselves . I did notice Kip's voice was going out those last two songs but like a Pro he pulled it out !!! Maybe to much drinking and singing over the Cruise had his vocal chords ragged but they still delivered !!! I wish Hungry was always in their set my fav Winger song but so it goes ??
Holy flying !@#$%! I've never been a Winger fan. But watch a lot of YT videos on all these older cats still kicking it out. And most of the time I'm a little disappointed. I remember hearing them on the radio and it sure as hell didn't sound anything like this. Maybe it's the mix? All the changes after all these years? I don't know. All I can say, is, this is f-cking top notch shit!!!!!
Outstanding! Wish I was there. Never seen Winger live. Been a fan forever. I'm amaze they still have not gone bald! Still going strong. Great show. Thanks.
I only recently got into Winger (a little late to the party) but I saw a great interview with Kip Winger and Rick Beato. Kip seems a very decent down to earth guy. And of course Reb Beach is a master on guitar. I saw him with Whitesnake and he's a crackin' player and doesn't seem to come across as having a giant ego. The whole band of Winger are very good in my book.
I remember catching these guys at Santa Monica Civic, Jeb must have been about 20- smoking show He covered a lot more fretboard in those days, but he is much tastier now❤
So great until Miles Away. So high - - -. Bon Jovi has same issue. kip has 30 minutes which is good. But the band is tight.......... love the three guitars. They are not gonna want to hear Madellaine. I don't think any one was singing in the same key. Grab the bag; fly home. Next gig in July. Keep on rocking...
Kip wanted their most recent record to have all band members contribute - the 4 original members plus John Roth who joined the group later after Paul left. He also wanted to tour with all of them this time around (as much as possible with their other schedules), making me think that this could be their last tour...I sure hope not!
The song madeleine they all sounded out of key.they probably were tuned down a half step, maybe should of tuned down a whole step.but they did a good job with strong structure and timimg.overall i am impressed for these guys belting it out after almost 40 years of jamming
I saw winger 3 times in the last year and they do not use backing tracks ever. Front row view you can see they are really singing. I’ve seen them stop in the middle of a song. He switches to headset mic the second half of the show so he can move around more.
@@karinaschebor4985 go back to 2022 and a little further, "heartbreak" sounds nowhere even near as good as this. It's a total vocal track. You can even see Kip turn up his mic after the song. Even in the first half of the set there's a moment when Kip gives a reaction to a failing high note. You don't go from that to nailing "heartbreak" better than the whole set. Great singer, rocking band, but still... uses a backing track
Haha That's hysterical! If the drummer doesn't have headphones, how would we sync to a click? All Kip. He had troubles on Miles away that night, but kicked ass on everything else.
Does Winger really need 3 guitarists? Its not like its Mahavishnu Orchestra kinda stuff they're replicating. Plus Reb Beach...hello.They barely need a rhythm guitarist with Reb there.
Their touring days are most likely winding down. Kip wanted all members - 4 originals plus John Roth who came in later when Paul Taylor left- to play on the newest record (which could be their last!) and he wanted to tour with all of them as much as possible. So mainly I think it's Kip wanting to give them one (possibly) last hurrah together.
i mean i vaugly remember these dudes man, wait... ummm Europe Ratt cinderella im trying to remember im gettin nothin white snake yea... i dont remember i know its in that time frame tho wait... i remember shes only 17 ahhhhh ok lol its commin back to me now lol let me get on youtube lets see 1989 i think or 88 one of the 2
Well they have Paul Taylor who was originally the rhythm guitarist and keyboardist. Then they also have John Roth who joined Winger in 93 to replace Paul who left. Then when they started up again reunion etc. They kept both. John will do some lead along with Reb Beach of course who is and always has been the lead guitarist and also Kips right hand man when it comes to writing etc.
Bruno - No they don't need three, but nothing wrong with the question. If you were more familiar with the band you wouldn't be asking it. Reb Beach is enough of a guitar player to replace three... Those are just all of the members that have been in the band through the years 🙏🏼🤘🏼
Kip looks pretty good for his age huh ? except he's put on some heavy duty weight .damn wouldn't expect that from dude that was a ballerina dancer and a health freak back in the late 80s and early 90s
