@@edcollins9377 how is marks singing nowadays? ...lol And if you think Kip is a bad bassist you have no idea how to play a bass and that Blondie from slaughter couldn't hold kip's jock strap.
💯! That comment they made is some of the most uninformed, illogical 💩 I've ever heard! It's comedy! good to see you call it out 👍@@FitnessFactoryOutletQuakertown
I once ran into Kip Winger right on my doorstep in Cologne/Germany some years ago. he asked me for the way which I told him. He thanked me politely, replied "no problem Mr Winger". the look on his face: priceless. I should have worn my White zombie shirt though haha. Love Winger and Reb Beach, great musicians!
Winger was always one of my favorites. I don't care what the naysayers say, or what Beavis and Butthead had to say. Kip Winger writes modern day classic music. Most people can't even grasp reading music, let alone writing it. Love seeing Reb and Kip collaborate. Two underrated musicians to come out of the 80s
gone are the days of multimillion dollar producers, this really shows Kips musical talent. he can write, play, arrange, and produce. a complete musician.
Kip Winger is a cool dude. A lot of thrashers viewed him as a pretty boy poser, they couldnt have been more wrong. The dude is an awesome composer outside of Metal/Glam
He was and still is a pretty boy... but I'm reluctant to say poser... IMHO.. I think that the thrasher bands were a little jealous of Kip on different levels. Let's face it... Lars isn't much to look at from a female's point of view ...and I'll go one further since I've met Lars.. he's pretty much an ass. Just speaking from first hand experience. The whole Winger band is great... I've met Reb briefly and he's a super nice guy... If I had to guess, I'd say that the record label had a lot to do with public perception of the band on a whole. But that was then ... now, sounds like they are better than they were.... I have to give kudos to those who come back after such a long period of time and sound even better.
AMEN to That. When I came home with my unit at Ft. Stewart,GA after Desert Storm,WINGER played a Welcome Home 24th Inf Div Concert,THEY KICKED ASS !! Really started getting into Reb's Playing, and took My guitar Skills WAY UP a notch ! Kip is WAY Underrated, and,It's GOOD he started to get back into his music after his lovely Wife had passed. Glad he and Reb hooked back up. Reb's Awesome in Whitesnake,BUT,He and Kip sound BEST when playing together.
I saw Winger in concert at the Santa Monica Civic Center I believe in 91 and they were amazing!! That Reb Beach was probably one of the best soloist guitarist I've ever seen.
This DVD ("The Making of Winger IV") is what inspired me to actually learn how to record. I watched this DVD after buying it at a Winger show in Charlotte on their IV tour, and was floored that they were doing this themselves at home (keep in mind, this was 2006). I remember thinking "Whoa...They are doing that at home? Themselves? I want to learn how to do that." So thank you Winger, for the inspiration!
I hate that I missed seeing that show on the Winger IV tour. I did finally get to see them on the Karma tour in Charlotte at Amos's South End two years later. One of the greatest bands I have ever seen live to this day.
I've lived in Michigan January 1991, Easy Come Easy Go music video was aired endlessly, so I remembered every note and the guitar solo for 12 years ahead without hearing it until I saw it again on RU-vid and bursted into tears
This behind the scenes footage is awesome! I could watch this stuff all day! It's so interesting to watch the creative process, and to see how they come up with riffs and songs.
I'm a kind of surprised while watching this and seeing how they fun on creation process. 'Cause "IV" is ALL TIME MOST UNDERRATED ALBUM RECORD and in its genre, i can easly say a way MASTERPIECE! It has so much detail like a supreme jazz essentials and there is no way to get bored with it! Piece of ART!
Great to see Kip Winger at work! Definitely a musical dude. Reb's talent probably makes it a pure joy for Kip to play with someone who can play what they both hear. Nice video. Thanks.
This video is exactly why I love Winger so much. Kip Winger and Reb Beach are extremely phenomenal songwriters and players. Reb Beach in my opinion is an extremely underrated guitar player. This coming April will be my third time seeing him live. The first time I saw him was in 2000 with Dokken, than I saw him 2010 with Winger on the Karma tour, and now finally I will get to see him with Whitesnake. I am really looking forward to this one because it will be my first time seeing Whitesnake. Whitesnake's 1987 self titled album and Slide It In are some of the most amazing albums I have ever listened to especially 1987 self titled album.
Such a great look into the song writing process! Went into the studio after seeing this the first time and went off the cuff like Reb. Such an inspiration!
Whenever I see this video, it makes me think of two high school kids after school, working on their garage band. I keep expecting to hear, "Kip? KIP! Quit screwing around with Reb and take out the garbage!"
Reb and Kip are THE BEST ! Man,I'd love to stop over at the house with a guitar and amp and Jam a little bit with these guys,Then,I could Die Happy : )
One of many Metallica fans that discarded Winger over a game of darts and a Beavis and Butthead video, but realizing and appreciating now just what great musicians these guys really are. It’s a whole different kind of chops as a player. Excited to learn some Winger.
These guys are great composers and song writers in addition to being phenomenal musicians and performers. WInger smoked everyone when they came out with the first record. That was around the time that grunge killed hair band but Winger was not a hair band...they were always serious musicians.
Winger are one of the best rock bands ever and really unfortunate due to the explosion of grunge scene as others. This video is so damn funny and so much human!
I'm just a fifty-year-old hair band Georgia boy but my love for these bands and it just makes I'm going to start a podcast in honor of this I will talk about whateverand 80s hair bands is an old man I love listening to 80s love songs and 70s love songs....this effect people is what these guys have wanted and to make that impact....SO, my podcast will be an honor to our hero, and I'm just the guy that Love's hard and I hurt very hardso in the middle of putting these podcast together and things I am getting my guitar out and I'm working out and I'm writing songs and poetry to the women and currently I don't have one right now but that's the daydream that's what I'm thinking about is this coming love or the one leaving I can't tell which it's always one or the other...am I the only one that feels their energy on stage? Man I do sometimes live their excitement to man and for that moment, that's me on stage....in my chair watching the monitor🤪 I maybe that's crazy but I really don'tcare and I think they would think that was pretty cool and maybe one daywe can have enough followers on the podcast to actually have one over or a whole band over or someone that used to sing up there over and that's when the podcast wooden guys because I would just die right there that would be my time to go because this is great you know what I mean I guess I'm crazy but I love being crazy and I love 80s hair band music I love 80s love songs I Love 70's love songs I mean I'm all in the mix man on stage every night listen to motley Crue Ozzy Osbourne. Warrant and warrant Jani Lane bless his heart I think I've lived and died with him a thousandand my personal opinion warrant now which they're not warrant without Jamie they should go ahead and do something else don't continue to disrespect the man and play his music man you put him out of the band.... And if it was played in honor to him it would be different. .....Jani Lane was a beautiful but tortured soul that we all can relate 2..... And in my opinion are killing him twice..... Didn't honor him when he was here ....... Oh actually more than twice because they do that every time they play songs because of there greed..... Skid row 2,...that's not skid row without Sebastian. I think it'll be fun I think it'll be different and I hope a lot of people watch my show..... because I want people to feel what I feel and that's just that man I love the great 80s genre. Never done a podcast before I'm just going to get on there and act like I know what I'm doing try to make it interesting and different... God bless...one thing I DO KNOW ..... I NEED A DECENT F******MICROPHONE 🤪🤡🤐 .
Dude I hope one day I will be able to jam with these two guys! Me and the boys back in the day used to jam like this all the time. minus the recording!
