I'm glad to read that fellow fans and musicians know Winger are a bunch of talented musicians. Among them, Reb Beach is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music and Rod Morganstein is a graduate of the Univ. of Miami and a current instructor at Berklee and a well-regarded author of various drum instructional books. These guys are sharp musicians, period.
Excellent album, incredible song "witness", such a enviroment of "headed for a heartbreak"! many good song, very professional , like wine, winger does the best with the time! thanks for a great record!
yeah I have been a fan way back and kip just keeps getting better at what he does! fucking awsum, not too many musicians out there like that! keep rocking winger and company!
Because he IS the sexiest man on earth! You and I must be kindred spirits...been hot for the man since the mid 80's! Rock on and may they never quit making music!!!
This band kicked ass.We saw them on the 27th march in belfasts spring and airbrake and last night on the 4th at the 02 academy in islington london. They are rock at its best.
WINGER F'N ROCKS!!!! this rock and roll children.. listen close! Paul Morgenstein is still the drummer.. cenk eroglu.. is the rythm player.. he replaced Paul Taylor.. GO WINGER when y'all come to town.. I will be standing in line to get tickets! Cant wait!
The new album is THE best album you chaps have done since adam was lad, not only that but one of THE best albums to be released this year! (or even in the past 5 years come to think about it!)
I'd never taken any notice of this band. Then BW&BK posted something about the new album, and since I now know of Reb Beach through Whitesnake, I did a bit of digging. I wasn't too impressed by the few older tracks I found but I heard 4 tracks from the new album on a UK radio station last week - awesome! This is SO being ordered from Amazon!
damn Winger is back in bussines - heavier than ever!!!! this album is so great. Pull has always been my favorite album, but now it's Karma. Winger rocks!! \m/ Greetings from Denmark
I am sooo excited about this album. I like every song I've heard so far but especially love Witness - beautiful melody and lyrics. Also loving the keys on Pull Me Under and the chorus of Big World Away. Have to keep going to Kip's Myspace to get my fix of the samples. Hope he puts some more up soon. October can't get here fast enough!
New album kicks ass!! You pick up right where you left off with Pull & it is fucking awesome guys!! Pull me under is my favorite track it is a serious gut puncher full of heart & emotion. Glad as all hell you are back!
Kip, Reb, Rod and John, thank you in advance for this amazing album!! Checked out some more samples on the myspace and they sound unbelievable. Can't wait to buy it. It will be on repeat in my car no doubt about it. Hard rock album of the year? Quite possible indeed if the samples are anything to go by.
There's an interview on Kip's Myspace that features full versions of Deal W/ Devil and Stone Cold Killer. DWD has a cool bridge that features Kip hitting some notes reminiscent of Battle Stations and the Space Truckin' cover. The old man's still got it that's for sure!
Kip....do those book shelves help with acoustics ? Hey you should do a part 2 for "shes only 17"... Shes pushing 42 now - love to hear a follow up :) j/k - Winger rocks keep making tunes !!
Este disco y el de "infestation" de Ratt son los dos más fregones que eh escuchado, me late un buen la letra de cada canción de "Karma". Excelentes músicos son toda una verga
These guys are so underrated. The goofy stuff in the videos from the first two albums are what kinda doomed these guys. The music has always been outfreakingstanding.
I agree that they were under-rated and I never quite understood why they were picked on so much because they are extemely talented and the music was great. But as far as being the most talented band from the 80's....dont think so. Def Leppard was the best band from the 80's then prolly GnR, Tesla, or Winger.
YOU SOUND BETTER THAN EVER!!! SHOW THESE ANEMIC ASEXUAL NON-MALES HOW A REAL MAN SOUNDS!!! (Yes I'm yelling this out loud as I'm typing in my workshop)
@fraroc Cuz unfortunately things like Beavis & Butthead and Metallica gave Winger a bad rep back in the day...but I'm willing to bet Winger could outplay those sellouts any day, and Mike Judge lost my respect years ago for making that cartoon diss them. They sorely underestimated Winger.
@GenXAccord (continued) Also no offense, but if you stop listening to Winger and completely dupe the Karma album just because of that one song...you're not a true Winger fan in my eyes. Oh well...your loss. Winger could teach most of the artists today a thing or two, considering they're one of the most under-appreciated and talented bands I know. They're much better than 98% of the crap I hear on the radio nowadays at least.
sorry there r good song writing and such but not better than dokken lynch with is reb idiol and friend and gun- roses ratt sorry there not the best of 80's era
Musically this is their best album. BUT..As a Christian I cannot get past the lyrics for "Deal with the Devil.Sorry Kip,even if this is a tongue in cheek intention, you lost a fan with just that one song. That's not a subject to joke about or take lightly, and if it's meant in seriousness, then I feel very sorry for you.The rest of the album sounds great, but a bad tree cannot produce good fruit. That one song sinks the whole album for me, and most likely ends my listening to Winger from now on.
