I met him (as Wings Livinryte), and David Campbell (Beck's dad) in a Portland Scientology mission when they were apparently touring as a duet. I asked him, privately, to demonstrate his OT V ability to leave his body at will. I could see it made him uncomfortable, and he changed the subject to me. I decided not to press it, but I was disappointed as a new Scientologist. I learned later it's considered rude, or something, in Scientology circles, to ask an OT to demonstrate their powers. 🤔The beginning of the end of my Scientology days. Oh well.
Well, he lived on the same ranch that Joe Cocker had rented a house on by I know 1976 since Joe had a big bicentennial bash there at that time. Then in 1977 Jane Fonda and Tom Hayden purchased Laurel Springs Ranch in Santa Barbara County in a community called Painted Cave. I recall when hearing about the guy down the road making this album but at the time it seemed people were mostly amused by the name, lol. It's not bad really! You can just google all that history. I honestly was surprised to see his album is featured on You Tube. Nice! It's been a long time!
