I have been looking at getting into soloing this and was a bit overwhelmed at the amount of stuff there was but this has eased those worries. Thank you very much for this!
Hi,good video and very helpful for a solo player, like myself. I've printed out all the templates and sheets which are so simple but a great idea. Your mat is very realistic. Thanks again and I've subscribed to your channel.
Thanks Richard, I am glad you found this helpful, it's a good game and works well solo with all the templates! Thanks for the sub and good luck with your games!
Very nicely done. I’m not that familiar with WoG - are there rules for tailing another plane? If so, is there any way to modify the AI move if it is tailing a player’s plane? Can’t wait for the IABSM video!! Do you per chance play General d’ Armee?
Thanks Jim. Yes, there are tailing rules, the player being tailed reveals their cards that haven't yet been played and the tailing player is then allowed to rearrange their cards to try to get a best fit. It's quite simple. I guess one way of doing it would be for the AI plane to choose a specific movement set rather than rolling the dice on the chart. The IABSM will be a big game, so will take some time to film and edit. But it's set up and ready to go! And no, I dont, I'm afraid.
very nicely done... however instead of templates why not use a clear base . which would be easy to mark the section on, but thats the only thing i would change, really good video buddy
Thanks, they are home made from teddy bear stuffing, sprayed black and the ends painted red and yellow. Here's a video showing the basic technique, just don't mount them on a base: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Q2-FkiQhtvU.html
I noticed at about 20 mins the German shot at Bishop although he was overlapping him. I thought if planes were overlapping they could not shoot at each other.
@@StormofSteelWargaming - Thanks again. Very good play through video, has me thinking about getting the game. That battle mat is very nice. You were lucky to get it when you did. It would have been a nice mat for Micro Armor games too. Drat! It's gone!
@@asaprocky8195 it's a good game, but can be a little pricey with some of the older aircraft. Terrain Mat must have gone out of business since I wrote that reply, but there are plenty of other places that make gaming mats that are similar, Tiny Wargames, Deep Cut Studios, Geek Villain, for example.
@@StormofSteelWargaming - Thank you for your tips and leads for additional resources. It’s an interesting game that incorporates immediate decisions for small moves by both sides while trying to anticipate the opponent’s moves in a three dimensional space, unlike dealing with less dynamic or static hunkered down forces on a two dimensional battlefield (except for hilly or structural overlooks). Harder to seek cover in the air too, besides clouds and coming down out of the sun.
