The F.E.8 was an early British "scout" aircraft, designed from the outset as a single-seat fighter. This example designed and scratch-built by the pilot Keith Numbers was an exceptional model. At 1/3 scale, it has a 120” span and weighs about 32 lbs. The engine is a Rotomotor 85FSI inline twin 4-stroke, swinging a 26x8 pusher prop which sounds awesome in flight! I love seeing unique models like this at events.
