Loss is hard, and sad. But God promises us to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, and in Heaven we will "know as we're known". Psalms 90:10 says we will fly from this life into eternity. In writing this song, I use the word wings metaphorically-- how God enables our spirit to fly to him remains to be experienced!
I wrote this song mourning the death of my first husband, Tommy Hucks....
I hope this song helps many people to see God's Hope in loss, through salvation, His Hope of an eternal home, where death is no more, where there will be a grand reunion day with our loved ones...
