Wingspan Asia - Solo Duet Mode Playthrough 

Love the idea of a bird called Gary Wagtail 🤣 Would you recommend this solely for the automa Duet? Not sure if I'd be able to convince my gamer friend or any family to play with me. Have the Steam version of base game, but Asia probably won't be out digitally for a year or two. Also, one other q: would this work with expansions but sans the base game? Considering I'd only ever play with 2 max the base seems a little redundant. Thanks!

I believe the Klingon subtitles at 6:54 are incorrect. What Tom did was nearly correct. Because the action was Play A Bird, the automa would look for the first space to advance this round’s goal. So it would have started bottom right and looked for first space in the wetlands working left, resulting in the space Tom placed the token on.

the penny lastly dropped! I know Wingspan (one of my favourite BG) but here, the Automa rules gave me the hard life! In the rulebook, I didn't understand the example for the action of the Automat "Play a bird" (face up cards) on the Duet Board, because End of Round Goals are not shown on the picture. I didn't get why the Automat chose the red berries place on the Duet Board, and not a nest for example... It only says " The Automat looks for the first available case (...) until it finds a case corresponding to the pre-requisites." But what are those pre-requisite, that was the question ! (I don't know if I'm making myself clear...) If I had had the picture of the End of Round Goals, I would have understood immediately. Anyway: Thanks to your video I understand now how it works and I'm ready to play and enjoy this fantastic boardgame!

Thanks for the playthrough. I'm struggling to get started though, because I don't know which cards I should use and which cards the automa uses. It says on page 2 of the automa-rulebook: 'Shuffle the 10 automa-cards, along with at most 1 special automa card.' What's that special automa card? And which are the automa-bonuscards?

Hi, Nice video. However, the duet tokens are being placed incorrect. I also made this mistake to begin with. The symbol is not unique. e.g. it depends on what symbol is next to the duet placement card and these are different for each area of the card. To confirm look at the example on the bottom of page 7 in the auoma rules.
